BOWLING WITH BOUNDS
On March 14th, Skills Inc. held our eighth annual Bowling
with Bounds tournament and silent auction fundraiser
at Kenmore Lanes. The event raised funds for our
Customized Employment Program and Vocational Services.
The support we received was fantastic! This year’s silent
auction was especially popular. Thanks to everyone that
participated and supported this event. We are extremely
grateful for your generosity. A special thanks to our amazing
host and emcee, KING 5’s Dennis Bounds and Tracy Taylor-Turner.
SAVE THE DATE: GOLF FUNDRAISER
Please join us on Friday, September 11th at Druids Glen Golf Club for our annual golf
fundraiser. All proceeds will benefit our Aerospace Internship Program.

Featured Success Story
LIFE CHANGING INTERNSHIP
As a senior in high school, Crystal Blanchet (above, middle) felt like she had
hit a dead end. Unsure what she would do after graduation, she enrolled in the
Aerospace Internship Program (AIP). Her success in the AIP led to a summer
internship and then a full-time position at Skills Inc.
“The past two years have had a great impact on my future. When I reflect back, it
becomes clear that the education that I received taught me a lot about the person
I am today, and the person I’ve been struggling to be. The AIP was a life changing
experience and I wouldn’t be where I am today without the help of the mentors and
supervisors at work, along with the support of my family and friends.”

Community Partnerships
COMMUNITY EMPLOYERS
Strong partnerships are an important component of our success as we strive to
promote inclusive workforces throughout our community. Our vocational team works
with the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) to provide employment
services to DVR clients. We recognize that Skills Inc. is not the right employment fit
for everyone, so strong community relationships allow our staff to better understand
an employer’s needs and successfully match qualified candidates to open positions
within other organizations. Our staff can assist your business with finding qualified
candidates. Contact us today at [email protected].
