The organizing committee of the 2015 Romona Red Gala wishes to

in our community. The Red Gala is one of our most important fundraisers

of Romona Elementary School PTA
welcome to our 5th annual Red Gala...the one night each year when
our proud blue Mustang turns RED!
We come together tonight united around a common cause:
enriching the experience for ALL students at Romona Elementary School.
Your presence and support tonight are shining examples of a spirit of service
helps to strengthen our PTA, and most importantly supports our school.
Romona PTA’s mission is to support and provide enriching programs
and community building events for our Romona children that expand
and compliment the educational opportunities provided for them.
In all our endeavors we respectfully embrace and celebrate each one
of our community members unique and diverse culture, ability, and interest.
It is your support tonight and throughout the year that makes it possible
to sustain that mission. Tonight’s event is Romona PTA’s single largest
fundraising effort of the year. In the fall, we asked families to donate
to our Pride Pledge campaign in an effort to reduce the number of
fundraising events. That campaign raised half of our yearly enrichment
budget.
Proceeds from tonight’s event will go towards the remaining costs of our
assemblies, author visits and more, that they so look forward to during
their time at Romona. Any additional funds that are raised will be
earmarked for the Learning Commons at Romona.

Throughout the next few years, each school within District 39 will be
creating a Learning Commons area within their school. The purpose
with 21st Century tools for research and exploration as well as production.
Romona PTA will be supporting the district in this endeavor.
Last year, proceeds from the Gala were used to buy green screen
technology for the future Learning Commons that is already being
utilized by the current students at Romona. Your support tonight
will ensure the successful realization of this innovative space
