Principal’s Message
Catholic Schools Week was
filled with excitement for
everyone. The faculty and
staff would like to thank
everyone for helping make the
week a huge success for our
students and faculty.
As we approach Ash
Wednesday we are given an
opportunity to deny ourselves
of small things in order to gain
clarity of heart, mind, and soul.
This process will allow each of
us to see the present for what is
really is and the future for
what it still can be. What will
you do to help bring clarity to
your life this Lenten season?
The Virtue of the Week:
Mercy – Mercy is caring for
the needs of people’s minds,
hearts, and lives. It means to
share in God’s forgiveness and
love.
Scripture Reference Matthew
5:7 – Blessed are the merciful
for they will be shown mercy.
Have the BEST week!
Mrs. Vassou

"In her voyage across the ocean of this world, the Church is like a great ship
being pounded by the waves of life's different stresses. Our duty is not to
abandon ship but to keep her on her course."

Art Scholarship Awarded
Karina Lowyns, a current 8th grader, has received a $1000
Art Scholarship from Trinity Catholic High School. The
application process required Karina to submit her portfolio

presentation. We wish Karina all the best as she continues
to grow as an artist in the next chapter of her life.
We are proud of you Karina!

Playground Update
Did you know that it will take approximately four weeks to
fully install the playground? We missed our December goal,
but it would be fantastic to have it in place by the end of the
school year. We need your help to make this dream a reality.
Thank you to the 42 families that have already generously
contributed to our playground project! If you would like to
make a donation, then please write a check to Queen of Peace
and include “playground” in the memo. You can include in the
weekly offertory or deliver to the church or school office.
