Tiedekunnan 50-vuotisjuhla 6.11.2015
Meillä on ilo kutsua koko tiedekunnan henkilökunta matemaattisluonnontieteellisen
tiedekunnan
50-vuotisjuhlatilaisuuteen
perjantaina
6.11.2015.
Päiväjuhla
järjestetään klo 12:00 Martti Ahtisaari -salissa ja Iltajuhla klo 18:00
alkaen Rantasipi Laajavuoressa. Tilaisuudet ovat tarkoitettu
tiedekunnan henkilökunnalle ja heidän aveceilleen. Ilmoittautumiset
päivä- ja iltajuhlaan tapahtuvat sähköisen lomakkeen
kautta. Illalliskortin hinta on 30€, joka maksetaan sähköisesti
ilmoittautumisen yhteydessä.
Ilmoittautuminen vuosijuhlaan 15.10.2015 mennessä.
Vuosijuhlan ohjelma on luettavissa täällä. Lisätietoa vuosijuhlasta voi kysyä osoitteesta [email protected].
Juhlavuoden kunniaksi tiedekunta järjestää ohjelmaa myös tiedekunnan opiskelijoille. Opiskelijoiden iltaa
vietetään tiistaina 3.11.2015 Tanssisali Lutakossa.

vilkkaasti.

kolmannessa
kerroksessa
kemian
kirjaston
takana.

Uudet opiskelijat aloittivat opintonsa 1.9.2015
Tiedekunnassa opiskelupaikan otti vastaan korkeakoulujen yhteishaussa hyväksyttyä 275 uutta
opiskelijaa. 265 opiskelijaa aloitti opintonsa syyskuun alussa. Ohessa olevassa taulukossa on
hakukohteittain opiskelupaikan vastaanottaneet sekä paikan vastaanottaneista ensisijaisesti ko.
kohteeseen hakeneet.
Kansainvälinen kesäkoulu 5.–21.2015
Kesäkoulu järjestettiin 25. kerran Mattilanniemen ja Ylistönrinteen kampuksella elokuussa. Kesäkouluun
osallistui noin 350 opiskelijaa. Kesäkoulussa oli yhteensä 22 kurssia biologian- ja ympäristötieteen,
fysiikan, kemian, matematiikan, tilastotieteen, informaatioteknologian ja tietotekniikan aloilta. Opiskelijoilla
oli mahdollisuus myös tutustua suomalaiseen luontoon ja kulttuuriin. Muutamia kuvia on nähtävillä täällä.
Kemian laitokselle eurooppalainen laatuleima
Kemian laitos on saanut Eurobachelor®-laatuleiman luonnontieteen kandidaatin koulutukselleen
seuraavaksi viideksi vuodeksi. Laatuleima tuo mahdollisuuden rekrytoida laitokselle ulkomaalaisia
maisterivaiheen opiskelijoita. Samalla se antaa myös nykyisille opiskelijoille mahdollisuuden osoittaa
tutkintonsa taso Euroopassa.

Yliopistopaino kilpailuttaa tulostus- ja kopiointijärjestelmän
Yliopistopaino on aloittanut uuden kilpailutuksen tulostus- ja kopiointijärjestelmästä. Koko järjestelmä tulee
muuttumaan enemmän tai vähemmän. Päätös hankinnasta tehdään syyskuun aikana. Nykyinen sopimus
Xeroxin kanssa loppuu 30.11.2015. Uusi järjestelmä on käytössä viimeistään 1.12.2015. Koneasennukset
saatetaan loppuun joulukuun aikana. Laitekanta monitoimilaitteiden lukumäärältään tullee pysymään melko
samanlaisena, mutta verkkotulostimia tullaan vähentämään.
Työehtosopimuksen mukaiset palkankorotukset
Yliopistojen yleisen työehtosopimuksen mukaiset palkankorotukset 1.8.2015 lukien.

Jyväskylän yliopistossa on otettu käyttöön menettelyohjeet Suomessa tehtävästä etätyöstä.

Pysäköinnin valvonta yliopiston pysäköintialueilla tehostuu
Koko yliopiston alueella on voimassa aluepysäköintikielto. Pysäköinti on sallittua ainoastaan merkityillä
paikoilla.
Jyväskylän yliopiston kurssipalaute
Yliopisto on hankkinut käyttöönsä Webropol kyselyohjelmiston, jonka käyttöä testataan syksyllä. Yliopiston
tavoitteena on, että Webropol otetaan käyttöön ainoana kurssipalautejärjestelmänä kevätlukukaudella
2016. Tässä yhteydessä järjestelmän käyttöön tulee useita uusia ominaisuuksia, mm. opettajat pääsevät
lisäämään lomakkeeseen omia kurssikohtaisia kysymyksiä. Käyttöönoton yhteydessä tullaan järjestämään
kurssipalautteeseen liittyvä Webropol-koulutus tiedekuntien ja laitosten yhteyshenkilöille.
Rehtori Matti Mannisen avajaispuhe: "Pärjäämme tasoa nostamalla"
Rehtori Matti Manninen korosti avajaispuheessaan tieteen ja koulutustason nostamisen tarvetta. Rehtori
järjesti perinteisesti iltavastaanoton uusille opiskelijoille Lounaispuistossa. Puheita pitivät rehtori Matti
Manninen, kaupunginjohtaja Timo Koivisto ja vararehtori Helena Rasku-Puttonen. Illan tähtinä loistivat
Semmarit. Tunnelmia voi aistia täällä.
Varainkeruukampanja
Muistutuksena, että Jyväskylän yliopiston varainkeruukampanja on parhaillaan käynnissä.
Ystäväperheeksi ulkomaalaiselle opiskelijalle
Haluaisiko perheenne tutustua uusiin maihin ja kulttuureihin? Jyväskylän yliopiston ystäväperheohjelman
tarkoitus on tarjota ulkomaalaisille opiskelijoille mahdollisuus tutustua suomalaiseen kulttuuriin ja
elämäntapaan vierailemalla suomalaisessa perheessä.

Henkilöstöuutisia
Kemian laitoksen projektisihteeri Sisko Siikamäki jää eläkkeelle. Hänen viimeinen työpäivänsä
oli maanantaina 17.8.2015. Teija Tatti aloitti osastosihteerinä Siskon seuraajana elokuun alussa.
Tuija Solismaa on aloittanut (1.9.) laboratoriomestarina kemian laitoksella.
Sami Nurmi on aloittanut yliopistonlehtorina fysiikan laitoksella syyskuun alussa.

50th anniversary of the Faculty of Mathematics and Science on 6th of November
The Faculty of Mathematics and Science will turn 50 this year. As the honor of the jubilee the faculty
arranges program for the staff as well as for the students. The actual festive occasion will be arranged on
Friday 6th of November:
The day ceremony at Martti Ahtisaari hall at 12:00pm
The evening ceremony at Rantasipi Laajavuori at 6:00pm
The participation fee of the evening ceremony is 30€ which will be paid electrically in connection with the
registration. The event is meant for the staff of the faculty (plus avec). The registrations to the day

50th anniversary of the Faculty of Mathematics for the students will be on 3rd of November at Tanssisali

The last meeting was 26th of August. The decisions are available here (only in Finnish). The next meeting
will be on 23rd of September.
The faculty’s office is located on YK building
At this moment, the office of the faculty is located on YK building (the third floor) behind the Ylistö library.
Additional information will be announced later.
The new students arrived on 1st of September.
265 new BSc students beginning their studies at the Faculty this year. Altogether 275 applicants accepted
the study place, of those 115 has selected the study programme as their first priority. Please see the
following table for details.
The 25th Jyväskylä Summer School, 5th – 21st of August 2015
Jyväskylä Summer School celebrated its 25th anniversary at Mattilanniemi and Ylistönrinne campuses.
There were 22 courses altogether in the fields of biology and environmental science, physics, chemistry,
mathematics, statistics, information technology and computer science. Finnish nature and culture was also
well presented in the summer school. Some pictures are available here.

The university of Jyväskylä has purchased a Webpropol survey software that will be tested during the
autumn. The university's goal is to start using Webpropol as the one and only course feedback system
starting from 2016. The teachers will be able to add course specific questions in the system.
