Worth knowing about DYNAMICA ROPES
• DYNAMICA ropes are up to 10 times stronger than steel wire ropes per unit of weight.
It means that DYNAMICA ropes have the same strength as steel wire of the same diameter.
• DYNAMICA ropes weigh 10% of steel wire ropes in the same diameter. DYNAMICA ropes are light,
hand friendly and easy to handle.
• The elongation of DYNAMICA ropes is app. 3.0% at break.
• In cases where a DYNAMICA rope is overloaded and breaks; the risk of backlash is very little because
of low weight and low elasticity of the rope.
• DYNAMICA ropes have an excellent abrasion resistance.
• DYNAMICA ropes do not torque (no snaking behaviour) under tension.
• DYNAMICA ropes have natural buoyancy (it floats).
• DYNAMICA ropes have the same strength wet or dry.
• DYNAMICA ropes have a tremendous stability towards UV.
• DYNAMICA ropes are resistant towards most chemicals.
• DYNAMICA ropes sustain a very large number of peak loads (loads close to the breaking point).
Steel wire ropes manage 6500 loads at 50% of the maximum breaking load;
DYNAMICA ropes manage 10 million cycles at the same load level.
How to maintain DYNAMICA ROPES
• Although DYNAMICA ropes are more abrasion resistant than other synthetic fibres, special care has to
be taken:
- DYNAMICA ropes should only be used in connection with clean and non-rusty surfaces.
- DYNAMICA ropes should not pass over sharp edges.
• DYNAMICA ropes loose strength when being bent. We recommend a bending radius of minimum 2
times the diameter of the rope for static end connections. For ropes running over sheaves, we recommend 5 times the diameter of the rope (preferably 10 times the rope diameter if possible).
• The breaking load of DYNAMICA ropes, which are spliced by authorised riggers from Dynamica Ropes,
is reduced by app. 10%. In cases of ropes with knots, the loss of strength is app. 60%.
• We recommend checking DYNAMICA ropes regularly for cuts or damaged areas. Deep cuts and damaged areas must be removed and the remaining rope can be spliced together.
• For DYNAMICA ropes, that are placed outside on a winch for a longer period, it is recommended to
place a canvas/plastic cover (ex. on the exposed top section of the winch) to protect the rope from UV
light and bad weather.
• To clean DYNAMICA ropes, we suggest rinsing the rope with water/soap and water.

• DYNAMICA tov er ca. 10 gange stærkere end ståltov pr. vægtenhed. Det betyder at DYNAMICA tov har
samme styrke som ståltov af samme diameter.
• DYNAMICA tov vejer 10% af ståltov i samme diameter. DYNAMICA tov er let, håndvenlig og let at
håndtere.
• DYNAMICA tov forlænges ca. 3,0% ved brud.
• I tilfælde, hvor DYNAMICA tov overbelastes og springer, er risikoen for at torvet svirper meget lille på
grund af tovets lave vægt og lave elasticitet.
• DYNAMICA tov er særdeles slidstærk.
• DYNAMICA tov snor sig ikke under spænding.
• DYNAMICA tov flyder.
• DYNAMICA tov har samme styrke om end det er vådt eller tørt.
• DYNAMICA tov er UV stabil.
• DYNAMICA tov er modstandsdygtig over for de fleste kemikalier.
• DYNAMICA tov kan klare et højt antal spidsbelastninger. Ståltov kan klare 6500 belastninger på 50% af
maksimum belastning. DYNAMICA tov kan opretholde 10 millioner belastninger på samme belastnings
niveau.
Vedligeholdelse af DYNAMICA TOV
• Selvom DYNAMICA tov er mere slidstærk end andre syntetiske fibre, er det nødvendigt at behandle
tovet med omtanke:
- DYNAMICA tov bør kun bruges i forbindelse med rene og rustfrie overflader.
- DYNAMICA tov bør aldrig passere skarpe kanter.
• DYNAMICA tov mister styrke, når det bøjes. Vi anbefaler en bøjningsradius på mindst 2 x tovets diameter til statiske ende forbindelser. Til tov som løber over skiver, anbefaler vi 5 x tovets diameter
(helst 10 x tovets diameter, hvis det er muligt).
• Brudstyrken på DYNAMICA tov, som er splejset af autoriserede Dynamica Ropes medarbejdere,
reduceres med ca. 10%. I tilfælde, hvor der er tale om tov med knuder, reduceres tovets styrke med
ca. 60%.
• Vi anbefaler jævnligt at tjekke DYNAMICA tov for skader. Tov med større skader skal skæres af og
det resterende tov kan splejses sammen. Dybe rifter og beskadigede områder skal fjernes og det
resterende tovværk kan splejses sammen.
• Det anbefales af trække et stykke kanvas/plastik over DYNAMICA tov, som er placeret udenfor i en
længere periode. Det beskytter tovet mod UV stråling og dårligt vejr.
• Vi foreslår at rengøre DYNAMICA tovværk med vand eller vand og sæbe.
