Introduction
HTH was founded by the two brothers Hans Henning and Tonny Haahr in 1966. Both
were skilled craftsmen and had previously worked in kitchens of other suppliers, but
were not impressed. "There must be a better way", they thought. This philosophy was
the reason for founding HTH Kitchens.
Today, the company employs more than 1,200 HTH employees spread throughout
Denmark. Much has changed since the founding of HTH - but the philosophy is still
the same.
HTH currently operates in 4 countries through approximately 120 inspirational stores.
HTH's three factories have an annual production of approx. 75,000 kitchens. It makes
HTH one of Northern Europe's largest and leading kitchen manufacturers.
Besides kitchen décor, HTH also supply fittings for bathrooms and wardrobes as well
as project solutions in large and small scale for industry.
HTH is part of Nobia Denmark Ltd., which is included in the Swedish group
Nobia AB. Nobia AB is one of Europe's leading kitchen manufacturers with 20
strong kitchen brands.
You are now working as a sales assistant in one of the HTH Kitchen shops.

Task 1
Presentation of Yourself
Congratulations. You have just been accepted as a trainee at HTH in Esbjerg.
You have been asked to prepare a presentation about yourself, so that your new
colleagues can get to know you.
Your presentation should be in the form of a PowerPoint and should include
some pictures of you, your family etc. Your presentation might also include:
 Personal details
 Educational background
 Special interests/hobbies
 Previous job experience
 Reasons for wanting to work at HTH Kitchen
 Future plans
At the exam:
Show your presentation using the Smartboard. Be prepared to answer questions
from your teacher and the external examiner.

Customer service – dialogue
You like to speak English and therefore you are the one who always serves the
English-speaking customers.
What to do:
 Make a written dialogue in English between an English-speaking
customer and you as the sales assistant. You are asked to help the
customer to find the article which he needs and also to help him to pay at
the cash desk.
 Please print the dialogue in two copies and be prepared to play the role of
a sales assistant.
 If you want, you are welcome to comment on the use of body language as
well.
At the exam:
Your teacher is the English customer and you are the sales assistant.

Opgave 2 Kundebetjening – dialog
Du kan lide at snakke engelsk. Derfor er det altid dig som tager sig af de engelsk
talende kunder
Du skal:
 Skrive en dialog på engelsk, som foregår imellem en engelsk talende
kunde og dig som salgsassistent. Du bliver i dialogen bedt om at hjælpe
kunden med at finde den vare som han mangler samt hjælpe ham med
betaling ved kassen.
 Print dialogen ud i 2 kopier og forbered dig på at fremføre rollen som
salgsassistent
 Du er velkommen til også at kommentere på brugen af kropssprog

Presentation of Denmark
You have now been working at HTH for six months. During that time you have
worked with many colleagues from different countries around the world.
It has been agreed that at the next personnel meeting you will give a short
presentation about Denmark, to help your colleagues from other countries
understand Danish culture.
You are to make a poster (planche) describing what Denmark is to YOU. It may
include:
 Famous Danes (explain what they are famous for)
 Danish traditions
 Danish food
 And/or anything else you find relevant…
At the exam:
Present your poster describing what Denmark is to YOU.
Opgave 3 Præsentation af Danmark
Du har nu arbejdet hos HTH i seks måneder. I den periode har du arbejdet med
kollegaer fra mange forskellige lande rundt omkring i verden.
Du er blevet bedt om til næste personale møde, at give en kort præsentation af
Danmark. For på den måde, at hjælpe nogen af dine kollegaer fra andre lande til
bedre at forstå dansk kultur.
Du skal lave en plakat, som beskriver hvad Danmark er for dig. Den kan fx
indeholde





Trip to London
Your boss at HTH is going on a business trip to London. While in London he
would like to do some sightseeing. He asks you to find out some things he can
see and do in London.
Choose one or more tourist attractions (seværdigheder) in London and make a
PowerPoint where you explain a little bit about them. The PowerPoint could
include the following information.
 The name of the tourist attraction
 Pictures
 Directions how to get there
 What you can see and do there
 How much it costs

Opgave 4 Tur til London
Din chef i HTH skal på forretningsrejse til London. Imens han er i London vil
han gerne rundt og se nogen seværdigheder. Han beder dig om at finde
forskellige seværdigheder som han kan se og prøve i London.
Vælg en eller flere seværdigheder i London og lav en PowerPoint hvori du
forklare dine valg. Din PowerPoint kan fx indeholde.




