•
Do not place the Odo‐10 on the dashboard. If it is exposed to the sun for a prolonged period, the
UV rays will seriously harm the product.
•
If you change vehicles, you simply have to unplug the unit from the old vehicle and plug it in the
new one. Don’t forget to change your vehicle manually in your user account.
•
If you make a stop of less than 5 minutes and you want it to appear as a trip, just press the “end
Trip” button.
8. Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
1. Why do I hear a beeping sound even after I selected the type of trip?
The beeping sound is completely independent of the selection; it goes off when you start up your
vehicle.
2. Does the unit record my trips only after the beeping sound goes off?
No, your trips start being recorded as soon as your vehicle starts moving. The beeping sound is just
to remind you to select a type of trip if it is not already done.
3. Is it possible to reduce the beeping sound or turn it off?
Yes, but only at request. You have to contact the technical support to make the request.
4. When I press a button, I cannot press another one immediately after.
There is a 3 second delay between each action to limit errors.
5. What happens if I selected the wrong type of trip?
No problem, if your trip has not ended you can change it at any time; the unit will record your trip
according to your last selection. If by consulting your account you realise you have not chosen the
right type, you can change it manually. To do so, you have to select the trip in question and double‐
click on the recorded trip (in the “Type of trip” column) and select the right one.
6. The beeping sound goes off when I am in heavy traffic.
If your vehicle stays put, without moving or vibrating, it is likely that the unit will consider that you
have stopped and can start beeping. Do not take that into account.

3. Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
1. The time of my trip is incorrect. Why?
You have to make sure that your computer is set on the right time zone. To do so, press on “time
zone” and select Eastern Time (GMT‐05:00).
Moreover, it is important to check the box for the automatic adjustments when we change the
time.
2. Some trips are registered even if I did not use my vehicle.
You should always leave the Odo‐10 in the car. If you take it out and walk with it or ride with it in a
mode of transportation other than your motor vehicle, you will create anomalies and record invalid
trips. Also, make sure to keep the Odo‐10 away from other electronic devices like GPS and cell
phones. If you have more than one vehicle, make sure that the Odo‐10 is assigned to the right
vehicle.
3. Some trips seem incorrect ‐ more or less mileage appears or a trip has not registered.
We have created a comfort zone within a radius of 50 km. Therefore, if the unit does not start
operating immediately due to extremely cold temperatures, battery failure or because the unit is
turned off, Odotrack will compensate with a linear trip starting at the last location to the present
one. This trip will show a warning sign (
). If you go beyond the 50 km comfort zone, you will see
an error ( ). The user must then adjust the mileage manually. Go to your account, click on Trips. In
the Action menu, you can adjust the mileage. You can also adjust the differences between the
mileage registered and your odometer in the Vehicles section. (Actual odometer reading)
4. Why is one trip registered as 2 short trips?
This may happen when you are stuck in heavy traffic and you move only a short distance in 4
minutes. It can also happen if you are going around in circles within a given area: i.e. on a highway
interchange or if you are driving around in town within the same 250 meter radius. You can also
verify the “end trip” parameters in the Odo‐10 section of WEB Odotrack.
5. Can my employer track my personal trips?
When you select “personal trip” the details of your trips are invisible. Furthermore, in the event of a
personal trip the “tracker” mode is automatically deactivated. For more details, go to the “User
management” section.
