June 2008 we received our first shipment of the wonderfully wacky animals from Glasstudio Borowski, they were an absolute success on the local market. In fact they
were so well received that Glasstudio Borowski did a special addition to their range to celebrate our success – our icon bird the Kiwi has joined their worldwide collection.
The Kiwi’s are very stylized vases and objects that will add colour and happiness to any home!

The name Tonfisk means Tuna in Swedish. Tonfisk Design was established in1999 by Brian Keaney and Tony Alfrstom. They
were bored of seeing just more of the same and wanted to market and produce objects that were not mere variations. By
2001 Tonfisk was available through The Museum of Modern Art in New York (MoMA), Harrods in London and Corsocomo
in Milan. All ranges have been designed with a philosophy of not sacrificing quality, function or aesthetic to produce lasting
solutions which have not been seen before.

Little did Fanny Garde realise in 1895 when she created it, how widely popular Seagull with gold would become. Seagull with gold has often been described as one of
the most typical Danish objects you can buy. It reflects Danish nature as well as the traditions of Danish craftsmanship. Denmark is surrounded by blue sea, and Danish
decorative art mirrors this in this renowned, delicate porcelain in shades of soft blue, achieved from the unique underglaze decoration technique, developed in Denmark
in the 1880’s.The artist behind the Seagull with gold, Fanny Garde (1855-1925), was one of the pioneers of this development, and one of the first popular dinner services
produced using this special craftsmanship technique was hers. Seagull with gold, together with Blue Fluted and Blue Flower, is one of the 20th century’s most popular
porcelain services in Denmark, and has, naturally, a place at The Danish National Museum as an example of something typically Danish. Seagull with Gold was first
produced by the brand Bing & Grondahl until Royal Copenhagen and Bing & Grondahl merged when the back stamp was changed to Royal Copenhagen’s.
