DREAMWEAVER™ FIRESTORM™ Northern Garden Introduction SHOWBIZ™ Northern Garden Introduction SUNCATCHER™ Northern Garden Introduction New for 2006 Northern Garden Introduction New for 2006 FIRECRACKER CHRYSANTHEMUMS TIGER TAIL™ “An explosion of COLOUR” It has been over 20 years since a new prairie hardy mum was introduced. The existing prairie cultivars have compact flowers in limited colours. Firecracker Chrysanthemums have larger flowers with fluted petals in outstanding colours. Firecracker Mums are the result of crosses among chrysanthemums varieties from the Morden and Minnesota series. Some of the resulting hybrids flowered earlier than others. The early flowering seedlings with outstanding blooms were selected. Hardy garden mums are a great addition to the fall landscape. Firecracker Mums flower in early September when most perennials and annuals have stopped blooming. Chrysanthemums should be divided every second year to ensure a healthy growing plant.
