Kjelvis Fishing 2012 Top catches 2012 Here is a list of the biggest fish caught from my boat Linder 440 Fishing during the year. We caught very much fish and in 2013 my goals for the winner are 115, 90 and 45 cm. As I have bought a new, faster and more comfortable boat here are the records in the old one 2006-2012 Pike 127 cm Walleye 94 cm Perch 45 cm PIKE ZANDER PERCH 1. Stefan, 106, trolling 1. The last two weeks of fishing in March was more enjoyable and I spent a lot of time fishing for zander. The weather was fine and they bit willingly. I also had some pike and burbot. I used a method with a short rod, Daiwa line counter reels and a bait fish normally placed close to the bottom. A group of fishermen and fisherwomen from Germany were here in February in search of zander and burbot. We made a warming fire on the ice while we waited for sunset and the burbut bites. They will return in February 2013 for a another try. Daniel wanted to catch a little bigger pike that he formerly had caught. On May 1 we spent the day on one of my pike lakes. In all we had about 15 pikes. Daniel fished and I steered the boatwhile we trolled. We also fished vertically and then I also took part. Here's a pretty great one Daniel caught. He was very happy with the day and I enjoyed the first day of summer. Calle Wisborg from Radio P4 Jönköping wanted me in his programme Jakt & Fiske. His listeners were interested in my new methods from "Spännande metoder". After two minutes of trolling a fish hit my Nils Master. "I have passed here 1.000 times without having a bite", Calle said. Chaos broke out as we tried to get the fish on board while Calle interviewed and recorded. It was an impressing zander weighing 5.7 kilo and 82 cm, which of course was more than welcome on an occasion like this. I thought it was a pike until we saw it closer to the boat. As the zander is still trying to establish itself in this lake it was also a very good sign to catch a fish like this one. The photographer Johan från JönköpingPosten invited me to fish in his lake and at the same time take photographs. Reporter Mickan was going to write the article. As I didn’t know the lake at all I was a little unsure whether I would catch anything, especially as the weather changed from bad to worse. I carefully chose the wobblers I hoped would work. I had bites straight away and in a little while caught the necassary pikes for Johan's photos. My very cold passengers were impressed. The wind was very hard and with the snow it reminded me of a December snow storm. I fished on and everything was fine. The article in the paper was sensational. With a photo like this it couldn't go wrong. It is possible to troll for pike on April 17! My friend Andreas took photographs for an article in Södra Kontakt. I had dressed up for the occasion. The previous photo session had been a failure due to me wearing winter clothes because of the cold. The pikes were there eager to become famous both times. I had this nice one trolling. The weather was favourable too and the photos turned out fine. Good photographer and positive pikes. Mathias was here for a week and on June 3 my son Jens came along for vertical fishing for zander. We tested some of my GPS-spots and the fishing was tremendous. Mathias also caught a 102 cm pike during his stay here. His 2nd Meterhecht. (metre pike) Jens had not tried this method before and was hooked right away. Apart from catching zander this 82 cm pike surprised him. He drilled it nicely and we could net it. During the annual fishing competition in Uvasjön, Fröseke Christian fished vertically for zander and caught this huge perch. Personal best, of course. Pity it was a pike and zander competition only. We had the highest number of pikes and won that class anyway. Sasha and Andreas from Switzerland were here for pike and perch fishing. The perch refused totally but the pikes were there and hit our small spinners with no hesitation. It was Sasha's first time fishing for pike. He scored new PB's and ended up at 90 cm. Needless to say he was he was happy. Andreas is a veteran in my boat after many visits to Småland. He always wants to return to this dream lake of mine. I work together with Torsten, a real fishing enthusiast. He fished vertically with me on June 19. The method was a shock to him. The zander bit hard that day and he caught a lot this size. Close to one of my hot spots Torsten said: "What's this?" as the rod bent violently. This 78 cm, 5 kilo zander showed itself and was soon in the net for a photo session. From no zander at all to 5 kilo in a day! Of course we want to catch it again. The next day Torsten bought a vertical equipment and soon caught perch on it. I suppose we have to try for zander once more... Dan from Minnesota was here for some days. We trolled and jigged for pike and had a tremendous day on the water. The weather was perfect with a heat wave and no wind at all. Deep down where I have my lures the pike don't care about weather. They bite anyway. Dan published this 102 cm pike on Facebook and his friends back in the US didn't believe him. It hit a red/yellow 15 cm jig. Markus from Switzerland with a 104 cm pike. We trolled with big jigs and it hit a brown Fish Trap. 98 cm and 6th place in the pike league. Daddy Marcel had it after only ten minutes trolling. Colin, mother Nicole and Marlon also had pikes. They liked the pike fishing day very much. We had eight pikes in all. All of them hit Nils Master 15 cm and one with a party balloon fooled five of them. The planer boards were very efficient. This is the winner of the pike league. Stefan tried hard and on the second day caught two pikes longer than a metre. This one measured 1,06. Lars with perch No1 - 43 cm. Lars is ill right now and I wish him fast recovery! We'll catch more and bigger ones in 2013!
