CAC Scholarships
The Community Action Committee of Pike
County awarded a $1000 college scholarship
in 2010. The student was Aryn Harris a 2010
Piketon High School graduate.
The Community Action Committee of Pike
County Scholarship Fund was initiated by
employees of Community Action to award a
scholarship annually to a student within the
Pike County service area who has shown
excellence in education and a commitment
to community service.
We are pleased to award this scholarship to
Aryn Harris as recognition of her academic
excellence and an encouragement to
continue pursuing her goals of service to
others, said Ray Roberts, Executive Director of
Community Action.
This fall, Aryn is planning to attend Shawnee
State University, majoring in Environmental
Science. “I cannot express how much I
appreciate receiving this
scholarship, may I
represent it in the best
possible manner,” Harris
said. Aryn is the
daughter of Angela
Alley of Lucasville, Ohio.

Has anyone tried the new “Frappe” at McDonalds? All I can say is Delicious!! Then a light bulb went on! How
many CALORIES were actually in the small frappe? I was thinking coffee, and coffee does not have any
calories! Needless to say, I figured it had more than I imagined.
Nutrition facts - 12oz Mocha Frappe (Small):

20 grams of fat

Here is my point. The majority of us eat out a couple times a week. I am included. We are also battling a
huge obesity problem with our society, especially children. I am not saying to deprive ourselves of the foods
we like to eat and drink, I want to encourage us to be aware of the calories we consume in our food.
Extra tip - CAC Employees get a great discount for ZUMBA only $2.50 - A Frapped cost $2.25 only .25 cents
more you can enjoy fun, healthy way to get into shape.
