The Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce and
Southern Bank are now accepting nominations
for the 2015 ESBY (Entrepreneur & Small Business of the Year) Awards.
The Following Awards Will Be Presented:
*Solopreneur (1 Employee)
*Home-Based Business (3 or Less Employees)
*Small Business (10 or Less Employees)
*Small Business (11-50 Employees)
Winners will be recognized at the Entrepreneur
and Small Business Celebration Luncheon to be
held June 4, 2015 at the Sea Ranch Resort in Kill
Devil Hills. Cost to attend this event will be $25
each. Keynote speaker will be Malcom (Mac)
Sullivan Jr., CEO of the Pate Dawson Company.
Eligible applicants have been in business in the
area for at least two years and are members in
good standing of the Outer Banks Chamber.
Nominees will be evaluated based on their descriptions of their business profile, challenges,
growth, customer service practices, marketing
strategies, and community involvement. The
deadline for submissions is 5:00 p.m., Friday, May
1, 2015.

Business Expo serves two purposes. First, it is a Business to
Business Networking Event. Members can exchange information, talk about their products and services, and understand
better what is available here on the Outer Banks. In addition,
the show is open to the public and offers business to customer
marketing.
Over 50 vendors are participating in this year’s event and additional partners are providing food, beverages, and fun during
the event. Admisison is just $2 and enters attendees into a
drawing to win a $500 travel voucher from the Norfolk International Airport Authority.
As an added bonus, The Outer Banks Hospital will have its wellness unit on-site offering free health screenings.
