Celebrity
Actor/Director/Artist/Friend
of Wildlife Steve Kanaly,
“Ray Krebbs” of the
Dallas TV Series
May 20 – June 6
Veteran film and television
actor / director Steve Kanaly
will present a
special exhibit
of his watercolor
paintings at the
Roswell Visitors
Center. As an
actor Steve is well
known for his role
of the roguish but likeable ranch foreman, Ray
Krebbs, on the long running CBS television series
“Dallas.” While pursuing his career in the film
and television industry over the past forty years
Steve has always honored his first calling as an
artist and painter.
Steve’s lifelong passion for the outdoors has
taken him to the four corners of the globe. While
filming on location in Africa, the Arctic Circle
or the South Pacific, he has always carried pen,
pigment and brush to record the moment. His
transparent watercolor technique is well suited
for quick dramatic interpretations of a subject
painted “en plein air” reflecting the infinite
variety of nature in its many moods. Steve is a
dedicated conservationist who has supported
countless wildlife enhancement programs and
recently said that “I’m very happy and excited
to be visiting Roswell for this wonderful event
and I’m looking forward to a long hike in
the nature reserve and an evening canoe
adventure on the Chattahoochee.” Steve invites
you to join him and his close friends, fellow
wildlife artists, James Partee and Michael
Collins, for a “Meet the Artists” reception on

Michael Collins Artist/Conservationist
International Acclaimed Wildlife
Artist James E. Partee, Jr.
May 20 - June 6
May 20 – June 6
Michael has
a deep love
of all things
outdoors. He
is an avid
sportsman
and
learned to
not just paint what he saw, but to make it as
lifelike as possible. He takes great pride in the
smallest of details. From painting, to design of
custom knives and jewelry, to engraving he is
accomplished at all. Very few artisans are in
his league of limitless abilities. He is a worldclass engraver and has designed for Browning
and many other “outdoor” companies. He
was chosen by Athos Menaboni to restore his
works at the Swan House and later restored the
Menaboni room at Glenridge Hall. His artwork
is in private and corporate collections worldwide. Michael is also a world-class archer and
won the gold for the Georgia State Games in
Sporting Clays.
Jim is an internationally
recognized
artist known
for his lifelike
renderings of
wildlife and
botanicals. He
was selected by Steve Wynn/Wynn Properties to
provide some of the artwork for his Resort &
Casino in Las Vegas. “The Donald” saw Jim’s
work and acquired him to provide a series of
prints and originals for his upcoming hotel in
Las Vegas. His work is also featured in the Roy
Rogers Museum in Branson, MO, and prominently featured in the People of the Century
permanent collection in the Smithsonian.
During his career, Jim has received over 50
state, local and national wildlife art awards.
He attends numerous celebrity events, raising
funds for a wide variety of causes. In the past
25 years his artwork has raised over $11 million for wildlife conservation groups across
the United States. Continuing in this effort,
Mr. Partee will have some special prints for purchase at the Reception on May 25th. A portion of
sales to benefit Chattahoochee Nature Center.
In his effort to support conservation efforts, a
portion of his sales from this exhibit will benefit

Hash Ride - Bicycle FUN!
May 26 (Wednesday)
6:30 P.M.
Sponsored by Bike Roswell
and RAMBO.
We are having a wild hash
bike ride fashioned after
the infamous Hash House
Harriers groups for runners,
but with a Roswell twist. The ride will end
where you can enjoy a cold drink and famous
Roswell food and hospitality. So what is a Hash?
There are two types of riders - the wild hares
and the hounds. The wild hares leave first
and use flour to mark or mismark (false trail)
their trail. The hounds ride to find or catch the
wild Roswell Hares. Our ride favors advanced,
recreational, and beginner riders: women and
men. This is not a race; but you may ride as
hard or easy as you like. (Bring a whistle, bell,
or other noise maker to let others behind you
know which direction to go.) We also appreciate
and respect the land, people and property that
we pass. For $5.00 you get the trail, ride and
the camaraderie with others of half-a-mind.
Riders must have helmets. Meet at 6:30 P.M.
at the Corner of Magnolia and Canton Streets
(corner parking lot near Pastis). 770-998-2511;

history will enlighten and entertain. Learn the
story of Sherman’s army’s destruction of the mill
and the four hundred mill workers, mostly
women and children, charged with treason and
sent north. You’ll enjoy the beautiful covered
pedestrian bridge and the dam for the 1853 mill.
(Proper walking shoes required; not
handicapped accessible; cancelled in inclement weather) Reservations required –
770-640-3253; $5.00 per person to benefit
