Golden Apple presents ‘La Cage aux Folles’

“La Cage aux Folles” at The Golden Apple Dinner
Theatre is a bright and colorful musical, blending some
interesting costumes, genuine story-telling songs and
an important message about being ourselves. While the
opening was a bit slow, John Visser’s musical direction
pulled it all together. This is a show about a clash of
cultures, and about the personal needs of those who are
gay on the French Riviera. One theme repeated over and
over was the song, “We Are What We Are.”
