About this Book
The software provider is the single most important piece of information you can have
about on online casino. In this book we review all of the major software providers

Information on Casino Bonuses.
Many online casinos offer bonuses. In many cases when the bonus is included you can
play at with an edge over the casino. We recommend play in the best casino games to
quality for the bonuses. We give information on the types of bonuses (cashable, free
play, clear play), the expected value of the bonuses, and the bonus percentage or dollar
amount.
There are six types of bonuses listed in the tables. They are Cashable, Post-wager, Sticky,
Clearplay, Free Play, and Unique.
Cashable bonuses are given at the start of wagering and become withdrawable after
completing wagering. Like cashable bonuses, post-wager bonuses are withdrawable after
completing wagering. However, they are not given until completing wagering.
Sticky bonuses can be bet, but cannot be cashed out.
Clearplay bonuses are a special type of cashable bonus offered by many Microgaming

casinos games are weighted at different percentages and bonuses are gradually converted
to cash while completing wagering.
Free play bonuses involve play without making a deposit. After finishing the free play,
winnings are credited as a bonus.
Unique bonuses have unique rules and do not fit in any of the categories above.
Most Microgaming casinos offer a "Clearplay" bonuses. Under traditional
implementation of a Clearplay bonus, a player can cash out winnings at any time,
whether wagering requirements have been met or not. However, a growing number of
groups now require players to complete wagering on the sign-up bonus. All games are
usually allowed, but some count little towards wagering requirements.
Some Microgaming casinos offer free play bonuses where a player is given a bankroll of
up to $1000 in a flash version of the site without a deposit. Winnings on the free play are
given to the player as a bonus with his first deposit. A minority of Microgaming casinos
offer traditional cashable bonuses with a wagering requirement.

B3W CASINOS
Introduction
B3W is a small software group that offers flash-based games. I consider graphics and
general quality to be poorer than Chartwell, Net Ent, and all of the well known softwares.
Game selection is also below average. 3-card poker, Pai Gow, and craps are not available.
Blackjack has an expected house edge of only 0.33%, assuming fair play (see warning
below).
Warning!
In October 2006, Wizard of Odds reported statistically abnormal results with B3W video
poker. 6 weeks later B3W stated they found a "modification" that was introduced with
the release of the 10-play Jacks or Better game. B3W claims that the software has been
corrected and affected players will be refunded. More recently, several players have
reported abnormal blackjack results.

Bonuses are cashable with a wagering requirement. Blackjack and various other games may
have different weightings. For example the wagering requirement at Aero Player is 40xB on Video
Poker, 80xB on Caribbean Stud Poker, or 160xB on blackjack.
United States Residents
B3W takes the unique position of allowing US players without offering any way to make a deposit.
They may add a new deposit/withdrawal method for US residents in the future.

Group -- Casinos often are linked together in e group. These groups are listed in the table. I recommend
not simultaneously playing two sign up bonuses from the same group. Wait until payment is received,
then play at the next casino.
Bonus EV -- EV stands for Expected Value. Bonus EV indicates the average expected gain of the bonus
with the following strategy -- Playthrough the bonus on the listed game with unlimited banrkoll
Max Bonus -- Max bonus indicates the maximum bonus that can be received.
Bonus % -- Bonus % indicates the ratio between the bonus and your deposit. If a $300 bonus is given on
a $100 deposit, the bonus % is 300%.
Wager -- Wager indicates the wagering requirement for the bonus. All wagering requirements are
expressed in terms of the bonus.
Game -- Game indicates the recommended game to play the bonus.
USA? --"No" means the casino allows no players from the United States. "No New " means the casino
allows existing players, but does not permit new registrations. "Yes" means the casino allows players
from anywhere in the United States. "Some" means the casino allows players from some US states, but
not others. Microgaming casinos typically allow players in 39 US states. They do not permit players from

BOSS MEDIA CASINOS
Introduction
Boss Media software has quality graphics, but weak features and general quality. 3-card
poker and multi-hand video poker are not available. Game speed is slow, even in "turbo"
mode. In the past, a highlight of the software was single-deck blackjack with a player
edge. Unfortunately all Boss Media casinos that I am aware of no longer offer the game
because of its low house edge. As a whole, Boss Media casinos are fair and reputable.

Bonuses
Boss Media bonuses are cashable with a wagering requirement. Some use a system in which
your overall balance is split into a cash balance and a bonus balance. Winnings from bets using

your cash balance can be withdrawn at any point, without completing wagering requirements.
However, you cannot withdraw winnings from bets using your bonus balance until completing the
wagering requirements on the bonus. Wagering requirements and game restrictions vary, so be

CHARTWELL CASINOS
Introduction
Chartwell casinos are usually flash-based. Like many no no-download casinos, graphics,
features, and general quality fall short. Game selection is average for a smaller group.
The basic games are there, but few specialty games beyond the basics. >4-play video
poker is not available. Blackjack play is slow and annoyingly produces a "Are you sure
you want to hit...?" pop up warning on some soft total hands while playing with optimal
strategy. I consider the well known Chartwell casinos like VC and Betfair to be reputable.
Many players believe that Chartwell blackjack is not purely random. However, I have not
seen any statistics that are beyond what could be explained by variance.

CRYPTOLOGIC CASINOS
Introduction
In my opinion, Cryptologic is the second best casino software in use today, after
Microgaming. Game quality and graphics are good. The common games are all available
and high quality, as well as some unique games, such as video blackjack and solitaire.
Cryptologic offers a jackpot of several million in the game Millionaire's Club. This is
probably the largest jackpot ever offered at an online casino. Many of the software's other
slots are also popular. Some games have a higher house than other softwares. Audit
reports show the average payout of Cryptologic slots is a few percent below
Microgaming, Playtech, Wagerworks, and Rival. Similarly the payout for Jacks or Better
and Deuces Wild is below other common software. I believe games are fair. My affiliate
stats show that the average referred player gains that are close to expectations. As a
whole, Cryptologic casinos are reputable.

DGS CASINOS
Introduction
DGS stands for Digital Gaming Solutions. DGS gaming sites usually offer a sportsbook,
as well as a casino. They often focus on the sportsbook portion of the site. DGS casino
games are flash-based. I consider game quality to be typical for flash casinos... better than
Chartwell, but not as good as Wagerworks. Table games load quickly, have clear

Most casinos offer no video slots. The 3 reel slots that are available have no bonus rounds
or features. I have found games to be fair. Some DGS casinos are reputable. Some are
not. Some of the most reputable sportsbooks use the software, like Bet Jamaica.

FUTUREBET & IGS
Introduction
Futurebet, iGamingSoftware, and Interactive Gaming Systems offer a similar software
and games list. The groups share various support and sever resources. I understand that
IGS purchased the source code for Futurebet and made minor tweaks. I consider
Futurebet/IGS software to be average quality for a smaller group. The basic game choices
are there, including multi-hand video poker and video slots. However, there are few
games beyond the basic selection. There is only one variety of blackjack and few video
poker alternatives. Some of the games have sloppy graphics and lack features. Many
video poker payables may be used, including some of the worst paytables I have ever
seen, with a house edge of nearly 8%. Players have reported normal results gain/loss
results on blackjack and baccarat. However, play can be quite slow. Many of the
Futurebet casino websites are poorly maintained and have a non-professional feel. They
may list incomplete or contradictory information about the sign-up bonus. Most casinos
are untested. Be cautious.
Warning!
Futurebet has a poor reputation among the online gaming community. They have a
disproportionately high number of player disputes, which sometimes relate to slow
payment or non-payment of winnings. For example, there was a major incident involving
non-payment with Pokes Poker in late 2006/early 2007. Another concern is to be labeling
players as "bonus abusers." At least 2 players have been labeled as bonus abusers and
initially denied winnings at Vegas24. I believe this label relates to a pattern of play
involving thousands of small bets on banker in baccarat. Several players have contacted
me about slow cashouts at Empire. One player contacted me about a slow cashout (still
not paid after 3 months) at Monkey Bet.

Bonuses
Bonuses are cashable with a wagering requirement. Some bonuses have two sets of wagering
requirements -- a conversion wagering to claim the "free money" and a rollover wagering to
withdraw it. You work towards both wagering requirements at the same time, so the larger one
represents the total wagering you need to complete. For example the USD Bet terms state, "For
every $59 you wager in the casino you receive $1 from your bonus." and "When receiving a
bonus players are required to roll-over (play through) the deposit and bonus amount at least eight
time (8X) before a cashout can be made." This means you need to wager 60xB to convert the
bonus and 8x(B+D)=16xB to withdraw the bonus. You meet both wagering requirements at the
same time, so the total wagering required is 60xB. Unfortunately, some casinos do not list
wagering requirements on their website, and conversion wagering ratios often vary from one
casino to the next. You may need to contact live support to get information about wagering.

Introduction
Gambling Federation was acquired by CGTV Games in early 2007. I continue to refer to
the software as Gambling Federation because that is the name most players are familiar
with. There are dozens of similar Gambling Federation casinos, many of which are
"white label" rebranded skins, rather than original casinos. Support tells me that players
may only claim one bonus among the G-Fed casinos. I consider Gambling Federation
software to be above average for a smaller group. Graphics and general quality are good.
Most games have a fast play and low bet options. For example, players may make 1 cent
bets in roulette. There is a large selection of video poker games including some variations
that are not found elsewhere. Otherwise, game selection is basic. Several common table
games are not available, including 3-card poker and war. While the software is decent,
unfortunately the management is poor. See the warning below for more information.

Gambling Federation has a poor reputation among the online gaming community. In the
past, they have denied winnings to players who opened many accounts in rapid
succession. In 2005, Gambling Federation added "malware" to their software which
prevented players' home computers from accessing a site that was associated with spam.

Gambling Federation bonuses are cashable. The sign-up bonuses usually have a wagering
requirement of either 10x(B+D) or 15x(B+D). The two allowed table games -- Caribbean poker
and bonus poker (Texas hold'em bonus) -- count 50% towards this wagering requirement. Slots
and lottery games count 100% towards the wagering requirement. I consider Texas hold'em
bonus to be the best choice, in spite of the increased wagering. The terms at some casinos imply
that players may only claim one bonus among the group. Support tells me that players can
indeed claim only one bonus among all of the G-Fed casinos.
The typical casino terms state "/€/£1 wagered on Ante in Caribbean Poker or Texas Bonus Poker
counts as $/€/£0.50 towards the wager requirement." Support claims that this means only the
initial bets on Ante contribute to the wagering requirement, not raise bets. I have never heard of a
casino using such a system before. This change increases the house edge per unit wagered of
Hold'em Bonus from 0.53% to 2.04%.

Introduction
In my opinion, Grand Virtual is the best of the smaller casino software providers. Grand
Virtual casinos have a surprisingly large selections of blackjack and video poker games,
including ones that are not found elsewhere, such as 22 varieties of 500-play video poker.
However, they lack some common table games like 3-card poker. Slots are often creative
and an interesting change from other softwares. Graphics and general quality are good for
a smaller software group, but inferior to some of the larger softwares. Some games have a
lower house edge than typical. Red Dog has a configurable number of decks, resulting in
the lowest house edge I have seen online. Three versions of blackjack with a house edge
below 0.3% are available. One weak points of the software is not having an easy way to
track wagering. I try to keep a running total of how much I have wagered in my head
while playing. Support is another weak point. There is no phone support or live support.
They do respond to emails and have a support rep on Casinomeister. The casinos have
"instant withdrawals." I usually see withdrawals in Neteller on the same day. Grand
Virtual casinos have a solid reputation and are accredited at Casinomeister. I have found
games to be fair, and the gain/loss of referred players falls near expectations. However,
some believe the games are biased.

Grand Virtual uses a unique bonus system. Bonuses differ from a traditional sticky (a bonus that
can be bet, but can never be withdrawn) in two key ways:
1. The bonus is not removed from your account after a withdrawal. After completing the wagering
requirement, you can cash in your winnings and deposit, then continue betting the bonus.
2. If your bonus balance drops due to losses and you have completed wagering, any wins on the
remaining balance are immediately cashable. You do not need to exceed the original balance to
make a cashout. If you have not completed wagering, any wins using your bonus balance are
credited to your bonus balance (not your cash balance).

better than Chartwell, but not as good as Wagerworks. A fast play option is available for
most games. A highlight of the software is the improved rules of many games, reducing
the house edge below standard. For example, there is 4% commission in baccarat, instead
of the usual 5%. In Pai Gow the player may be banker on alternate hands, reducing the
house edge to ~1.45%. Game selection is above average for a smaller group. There are 7
varieties of blackjack to choose from, including some unique games that are not found

In my opinion, Microgaming Viper is the best casino software in use today. Games have
excellent graphics and general quality. Game variety is greater than other softwares. Most
games have an autoplay feature and analysis of results, including table games like

Introduction
Odds On now uses the name Vegas Technologies. I continue to refer to the software as
Odds On because that is the name most players are familiar with. I consider the software
to be above average for a smaller group. Graphics, game selection, and general quality
are good. Several new games have been added recently, including a normal house edge
blackjack game (the original blackjack had a 0.73% house edge). Video poker is a weak
point. >4 play video poker is still not available for most games. Some players praise the
unique bonus slots with this software, while others find them disappointing. Several
games have a noticeable Microgaming influence. For example, video poker and keno
payouts match Microgaming. It is rumored that Odds On acquired Microgaming source
code several years ago, and since then the two softwares have diverged. Software errors
may occur including rare pai gow "house way" mistakes, rare mulligan poker scoring
mistakes, and errors in tracking bonus wagering. In April 2006, the Odds On video poker
double function was shown to have a incorrect win/loss rate. Odds On claims this was a
software error and reimbursed players, after it was brought to their attention.

casinos used Net Entertainment software for their flash games and only used Parlay
software for the download casino. However, now both the flash and download casinos
use Parlay software. Graphics, general quality, and game selection are all below average.

Party Gaming was previously known as iGlobalMedia. In effort to focus on Party Casino,
Party Gaming closed Starluck, Planetluck, and Ace Club, and changed the name of the
software. I believe the only casinos that currently use Party Gaming software are Party
Casino and skins. In spite of having so few casinos, the software is large and well known.
Party Casino bills itself as "The World's Largest Online Casino." Graphics and general
quality do not measure up to other large softwares like Microgaming and Playtech. Game

Table games are extremely fast. A skilled player can complete more than 1000 hands of
blackjack per hour. Graphics and general quality are above average, but inferior to some

poker paytables in use with Real Time Gaming casinos, so video poker payout may vary
from one casino to the next. Many casinos offer a Joker Poker with a small player
advantage. Some players like the many features and free spins with RTG slots. Real Time
Gaming casino operators can also select the return of their slot games. One RTG casino
may have selected a slot payout of 95%, while another may be 90%.
As a whole Real Time Gaming casinos are less reputable than the other major groups.

Introduction
I consider Rival software to be above average for a smaller group. Games have quality
graphics and have features, such as fast play. The basic games are there, but few specialty
games beyond the basics. Some games have a noticeable Microgaming influence. For
example, video poker and keno payouts match Microgaming. However, payouts for
several table games are superior to Microgaming, as well as other software providers.
Rival offers one of the best paytables I have seen for Caribbean Stud Poker and Let It
Ride. A highlight of the software is listing payouts of games in their help files. I wish
other softwares would take this approach. i-Slots with storylines and multiple levels are
an interesting alternative to typical video slots, but many Rival slots lack imaginative
features and quality bonus rounds. Some players have had noted errors with this software,
such as slot wagering stakes being reduced. A minor error that I find annoying is the
software recentering itself such that it covers a portion of my Windows task bar, each
time I open a game.

VueTec casinos emphasize their live dealer features. Live blackjack, roulette, and
baccarat tables are broadcast from the Fitzwilliam Card Club in Dublin. In live blackjack,
the player does not have the typical hit / stand / double strategy decisions. Instead the
dealer makes all the plays using basic strategy, and the player has the option to either
continue or take an "early payout." I prefer the computerized blackjack, which has a
small player edge with optimal strategy due to a full early surrender. Game selection is
unique. There are several games that I have not seen anywhere else, like 3-5-7 Poker and
Grand Slam. However, several common games are missing, like craps and 3-card poker.

WAGER21 CASINOS
Introduction
Wager21 is one of the worst casino softwares that I have used. Games are flash-based.
The convenience of not requiring a download comes at a high cost. Like many no
download casinos, features and general quality fall short. Blackjack variations and more
than 5-play video poker are not available. Games work especially poorly with
Firefox/Netscape, as the bottom of the screen may get cut off, so you cannot see your
balance while playing. Some games may be unfair (see below). Only email support is
offered, and support may be unresponsive to emails. If you can handle all of these
negatives, the group is generous with bonuses. The sign-up bonuses are large with low
wagering, and the group gave excellent no-deposit Christmas bonuses last year with a
wagering requirement of only 1xB. These were the best and most profitable Christmas
bonuses I received.
Fairness
The casino FAQ states, "Our Free Games are programmed for FUN and give higher
payouts (than real mode)." Programming fun mode to a different payout than real mode is
shady and suggests that the house edge of non-slot games may differ from mathematical
expectations. I believe that some Wager21 game outcomes do not have the expected
distribution. If Wager21 video poker followed the expected card distribution, then Tens
or Better Video Poker would have a return of >101%. I have been told that the video
poker is like a slot machine in terms of outcome distribution, rather than a deck of cards.
Players have reported payouts well below the expected return and seemingly non-random
distributions on some video poker games, such as Lucky Deuces. This may be the case
with Pai Gow as well. In the screenshot at the top of the page, note that the player and
dealer have 7 cards with the same rank. The odds of this happening randomly are roughly
1 in 20,000. This rare event happened about a half-dozen times over the course of my
wagering the first time I played at a Wager21 casino. Another player has confirmed
similar results on Pai Gow Poker and sent me similar screenshots. I contacted support
about this issue at the time and did not receive a reply. In spite of the questionable
fairness, I made a gain on the sign-up bonus at each of the three Wager21 casinos where I
have played.
Given that there is a high probability that some table games have a slot-like outcome, I
will not list house edge. Instead I will only list available games -- baccarat, blackjack,
caribbean poker, craps, keno (2 games), roulette, slots (~22 games), video poker (7
games, ...1-5 hands, depending on game).
Bonuses
Wager21 casinos use a unique bonus system. Bonuses differ from a typical sticky (a bonus that
can be bet, but can never be withdrawn) in two key ways:
1. The bonus is not removed from your account after a withdrawal. After completing wagering on
the bonus, you can cash in your winnings and deposit, then continue betting the bonus.

2. If your bonus balance drops due to losses, any wins on the remaining balance are immediately
cashable. You do not need to exceed the original balance to make a cashout.
The casinos have a unique rule of requiring you to wait 7 days before a withdrawal. The bonus
rules state, "When you first signup you have to wait 7 days before making your first withdrawal or
you forfeit all bonuses."
Wager21 continues to allow US players. The group has its own eWallet system, DirectNetPay.
