The Kenny Rogers Children’s Center just wrapped up their 35th Annual Telethon which was another
huge success! A great turnout lead to a weekend full of wonderful activities. Some of those activities included a pancake breakfast, 5K run/1 mile walk, a superhero fun zone, a blood drive, a dog show, a cross
fit competition, telethon idol, easter photos, fish fry and silent auction. Christy O’Neal, Marketing Director of The Kenny Rogers Children’s Center says, “We are truly amazed and truly blessed at the support
we receive from all of our communities during Telethon time. The staff, kids & parents send out a HUGE
THANK YOU for helping us reach a Grand Total of $391,665!” Hundreds of volunteers & contributors
play a big role in the telethon and help make it successful. The telethon helps ensure the center can continue to provide therapy to children with special needs throughout Southeast Missouri at no charge to
their families. The Center serves not only children with cerebral palsy, but children will all types of special
needs, including, but not limited to Down syndrome, shaken-baby syndrome, autism, spina bifida, muscular dystrophy, seizure disorder, Williams syndrome and ADHD, as well as numerous other syndromes.

bANQUET fACTS:
The Sikeston Regional Chamber Annual Awards Banquet will be held Thursday, April 23rd at the Sikeston Armory. Help us honor our community’s movers and
shakers with the banquet theme “Havana Nights.” We will once again have the opportunity to showcase your business to the over 400 banquet attendees. With
each table reservation a business may decorate a table to reflect their company and display their product. You MUST sign up to decorate a table by April 13th,
2015.
Here are the simple guidelines:
Your responsibilities:
1. Decorate a table to reflect your business. Each table will seat 8 people and is a round banquet table.
2. Pick up table decorations at the Banquets conclusion. (The Sikeston Regional Chamber is not responsible for any items left on the table after the Banquet)
3. No candles or fire hazard materials per the Armory’s regulations. Flameless and battery operated are permitted
4. You are permitted to provide a multitude of items, including a centerpiece for giveaway, merchandise for each seated table guest, or simply informative material that you will be collecting at the end of the night.
The Chamber will:
1. Have the building open from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm on April 22nd for decorating tables and again at 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on April 23rd.
2. The Chamber will provide tablecloths, which will already be on the tables for your use.
Use your creativity! Remember some of the beautiful tables we had last year? The wonderful door prizes and table favors were enough reason to come to the
banquet. You must reserve your table and confirm to decorate! Call or email to commit to decorating a table and showcase your business. Wristbands for alcohol
are available with purchase of ticket for a small donation; these can be purchased at the door separately or invoiced to your business beforehand. For questions or
to reserve your table, contact the Sikeston Regional Chamber 573-471-2498 or by email [email protected].

Three Rivers-Sikeston held its official ribbon cutting and grand opening on March 20. More than 100
people gathered for the ceremony, which included remarks from Missy Marshall, director at the site;
Dr. Wesley Payne, president of the college; Brad Smith, chairman of the Three Rivers Endowment
Trust; land donor Scott Matthews; Sikeston Mayor Jerry Pullen and our own SRC president Justin
Taylor. Following the ribbon cutting, tours of the 36,000 square foot building were offered. This
impressive new facility, located at 1400 S. Main, will serve as the anchor for Three Rivers-Sikeston
and has room to grow and expand to meet the changing needs of higher education and our local
economy. Congratulations Three Rivers College!
