CHARITY FUN RUN / WALK – Cystic Fibrosis
th
Well done to all the runners, joggers & walkers who took part in the 5K & 10K fun run / walk held on Sunday 19 October for the Cystic
Fibrosis Charity. There was a great turnout from the local community and from further afield and it was lovely to see so many people
participate in the event. It really was about the taking part and enjoying the occasion and having fun and craic with family and friends and I
have to say it certainly created a wonderful sense of community spirit The run / walk was organised to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis
Charity and on behalf of the Rockcorry GAA Club I would like to extend our best wishes to Sheila Smyth, Louise Reilly, Conor McCarville, Riona
th
Kelly & Maureen Hughes who took part in a massive endurance challenge on the Bank Holiday Monday 27 October when they competed in
the Dublin City Marathon. You are all amazing, and probably a bit mad, but we wish you good luck and have a safe and successful trip around
the course. If you were unable to attend the walk / run you can still help by making a donation towards the Cystic Fibrosis Charity. Please get in
touch with any of the above runners and they would deeply appreciate your support. As they say…every little helps.
