Achieved through joint actions. The Clusters are also very important
aspects of strategic management and have become a focus for many
government programs in developed countries. The EU has included
cluster development in its strategy 2013-2020. However, the particular
significance and results hasits application in countries in transition, such as
Serbia.
By the nature, cluster is a partnership between enterprises,
government bodies and supporting institutions (university), based on the
principle of flexible specialization where everyone does what he does the
best and for what he has good conditions and represents the basis for
successful implementation of fast developing and manufacturing concept.

Company „BERKO“ was established for production of
machines and equipment of special purpose, milling machines,
vertical band and circular saws, sccissors for tin and the like.
Over time, product pallet has been expanded to other machine
tools and machine for deformation, as well as general machinery

Faculty of Technical Sciences originates from the Faculty
of Mechanical Engineering which was established by the Decree
of the National Assembly of People’s Republic of Serbia on 18th
May 1960 as a Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Novi Sad
and it was a constituent part of the University of Belgrade. After
the founding of the University of Novi Sad on 28th June 1960,
the Faculty along with six previously established faculties in
