W&T With yarn in front, slip next st
purlwise, then take yarn to back and

INSTRUCTIONS
Square Cloth:
Using larger needles and Lt Blue, cast
on 31 sts.
Rows 1 and 2: Knit.
Rows 3 and 4: Using Taupe, knit.
Now work in pattern as follows:
Note: On right side rows, sl sts with
yarn in back of work and on wrong
side rows, sl sts with yarn in front of
work.
Row 5: (right side) Using Lt Blue, k7, [sl
next 2 sts, k8] twice, k4.
Row 6: K 12, sl next 2 sts, k8, sl next 2
sts, k7.

Rows 7 and 8: Using Taupe, k4, [sl 1,
k1, sl 1, k2]5 times, k2.
Row 9: Using Lt Blue, rep Row 6.
Row 10: Repeat Row 5.
Row 11: Using Taupe, k4, [sl 1, k6, sl 1,
k2] twice, sl 1, k6.
Row 12: K6, [sl 1, k2, sl 1, k6] twice, sl
1, k4.
Row 13: Using Lt Blue, rep Row 6.
Row 14: Repeat Row 5.
Rows 15 and 16: Using Taupe, rep
Rows 7 and 8.
Row 17: Using Lt Blue, rep Row 5.
Row 18: Repeat Row 6.
Row 19: Using Taupe, [k6, sl 1, k2, sl 1]
twice, k6, sl 1, k4.
Row 20: K4, sl 1, k6, [sl 1, k2, sl 1, k6]
twice.
Repeat Rows 5-20 twice more.
Next 2 Rows: Using Lt Blue, knit.
Cast off loosely knitwise.
Weave in all ends.
Circle Cloth:
Using larger needles and Variegated,
cast on 12 sts.
Row 1: (right side) K 12.
Row 2: P3, W&T, k3.
Row 3: P6, W&T, k6.
Row 4: P9, W&T, k9.
Rows 5 and 6: P 12.
Row 7: K3, W&T, p3.
Row 8: K6, W&T, p6.
Row 9: K9, W&T, p9.
Row 10: K 12.
Repeat these 10 rows for pattern 7
times more.
Cast off knitwise.
Sew cast on and cast off edges
together to form inner circle.
Using beg tail, weave through ends of
rows at center of circle and draw up
tight to close.
Weave in all ends.
Border:
Now with right side facing, using Dk
Blue and DPN’s, *pick up and k5 sts
across any knit (flat) section,
cast on 4 sts, skip the next purled
section; rep from * 7 times more. (72
sts)
Join in rnd, placing a marker on last st
to indicate end of rnd.
Rnd 1: *[K1, kfb] twice, k5; rep from *
around. (88 sts)
Rnd 2: Purl.
Rnd 3: *K2, kfb; rep from * to last st,
k1. (117 sts)
Rnd 4: Purl.
Cast off knitwise. Weave in all ends.
Round Scrub It:
Note: This piece is knit flat to 3.25” [8
cm] wide x 9” [23 cm] long and then
sewn and gathered into a round.

Using smaller needles and Dk Blue,
cast on 16 sts leaving a long tail for
sewing.
Rows 1 and 2: Knit.
Now using White, work as follows:
Row 3: Knit.
Row 4: Purl.
Row 5: K1, k2tog, k 11, kfb, k1. (16 sts).
Row 6: Purl.
Using Dk Blue, work as follows:
Row 7: K1, k2tog, k 11, kfb, k1. (16 sts).
Row 8: Knit.
Rows 9-12: Repeat Rows 7 and 8
twice more.
Repeat Rows 3-12 four times more,
then Rows 3-6 once more.
Cut White, leaving a long tail.
Next Row: Using Dk Blue, rep Row 7.
Next Row: Knit.
Repeat these two rows once more.
Cast off knitwise leaving a long tail.
To Assemble:
Using beg Dk Blue tail, sew cast on
and cast off edges together.
Weave in beg White end.
This leaves one long White tail and
one long Dk Blue tail on opposite
sides of work.
Using each tail, sew through edge
of rows, being sure yarn is on wrong
side, and pull tightly to gather.
Flatten the work and run ends
through center. Fasten off.
Weave in all ends.
