Auction Rules
1. All items in the Silent Auction have Bid Sheets. Persons desiring to bid may do so
by writing their bidder number and amount of bid on the bid sheet.
2. All bids entered must be successive. Each new bid must be written on the next
blank line on the bid sheet. A bid will be disqualified if it is scratched out, written
over, or is unable to be read.
3. The Silent Auction will open at noon and will be closed in sections as announced.
Your final bids must be placed before the section closes.
4. After the section closes, the last bidder number on the Bid Sheet is the winner. In
the event of a dispute, the Table Official will act as final authority, and shall
determine the winning bidder. The decision shall be final.
5. After each section closes, table monitors will remove all bid sheets. Under the bid
sheet there will be a colored card indicating the winner. The person with the
winning bid number will remove the colored card from the items(s) that was won.
When ready to check out, bring your cards to the cashier to make payment. You
may pay for your items as each section closes or at the end of the afternoon. All
items should remain on the table(s) until items are paid for. Keep your colored
card(s) to show table monitors and security as a receipt of payment.
6. Cash, checks, and credit cards may be used to pay for your items at the cashier check
out table. Please make checks payable to Trinity Lutheran. Successful bidders are
required to pay for all items before leaving, and all items must be removed the
afternoon of May 7, 2016.
7. All sales are final and there will be no exchange or refunds except where specified.
Purchases are not redeemable for cash.
8. Please read restrictions! Many items and certificates have restrictions on days,
usage, and expiration dates.
9. Every effort has been made to catalog and describe the items and/or services to the
best of our ability, but everything is sold “as is”. Certain auction items and/or
services may have restrictive use or other qualifications that may affect the value,
application or use thereof to the bidder. Purchasers are bound by the precise
restrictions specified by the donor. Please read carefully the specifications and
limitations at the time you received the item/gift certificate.
10. We want to express our concern for the children’s safety. Although we offer a kids’
game area, we want to be certain the parents keep tabs on their children’s
whereabouts.
