I would like more space inside the truck and less rust :-) and dual transfer or 4.70 gearing in the transfer, perhaps one day, if I win a lottery........ Anything to add: I'm using this Icon of a truck off-roading, sometimes it gets rough. I know some hardcore LC fans don’t like what I'm doing to the truck. I haven't done anything to the truck that can’t be redone to original. Regarding all the punishment it gets off-roading..... it can take it, no problem :-) Toughest trail or obstacle: That would be Lapland Trophy. Well, after 3 years of testing, we now have the best system available on the market today. Why is it the best? If you have never heard of Ackerman Steering geometry, it is what makes the tires avoid slipping while following the path of a turn. While the factory steering system accounts for this geometry- many if not all of the steering systems designed for the Samurai do not account for this. Why would this matter? When making a turn, the inside tire turns slightly sharper than the outside tiremaking it so that your tires do not slip or drag. This avoids excessive tire wear generally associated with sharp turning- as well as gaining more traction off road when fully locked up or in a high traction situation. We have designed this steering kit to account for Ackerman Steering Geometry by utilizing the factory steering tie rod location, and including a taper reamer to ream out your factory taper to the FJ80 Land Cruiser Taper. FJ80 Joints are like the 1 Ton Joints of the Suzuki and Toyota world, and offer a 23mm thread, which is almost an inch of thread. We couple the FJ80 Tie Rod Ends with 1/4" Thick DOM Steel Tubing. Almost all other Toyota and Suzuki steering kits use a thinner material which is not nearly as strong as 1/4" wall. Note: Works on Left Hand Drive Models Only, Right Hand Drive Models Available Soon! Features: • 1- Solid Billet CNC Machined Steering Arm, Bi-Color Zinc Plated for Corrosion Resistance (Not a forging or casting) • 4- HD Toyota FJ80 Land Cruiser Tie Rod Ends with Jam Nuts and Cotter Pins. • 1- HD Drag Link, Full 1/4" Wall DOM Tubing, Powder coated Black • 1- HD Tie Rod, Full 1/4" Wall DOM Tubing, Powder coated Black • 1- USA Made High Speed Steel (HSS) Tie Rod Taper Reamer (Custom for Suzuki Samurai, SJ413) • 2- Grade 10.9 Metric Bolts • Steering Arm Design allows for use of larger Sidekick Vented Rotors and Sidekick Calipers. Toyota FJ80 Land Cruiser Knuckle Rebuild Service Kit with Japanese Wheel Bearings With all the knuckle rebuild kits available to the aftermarket, what makes this one better?
