SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST
It was a hot June evening and all our team stood in a circle, tears in
everybody’s eyes. Kasia, one of our colleagues, was reading out loud
a farewell poem which she had written herself. It was a day when we
were saying goodbye to Marcin Sawicki, our colleague, friend, mentor
and leader. A few days later he was about to start working in the Central
Laboratory in Łódź.
Once upon a time in a small Caucasus country somewhere high in the
mountains where the wild eagles take a wing and some people live till
120 years, an unbelievably complicated situation occurred. The newly
built miniature team of just 15 men was forced to leave and switch the
location of the laboratory in just 4 weeks. The new place hadn’t been
identified so the mission looked to have no solution.
For a moment my thoughts drifted away, back to the day when our Synevo Lab
in Bydgoszcz was beginning its operations. It was a huge challenge for all of us
because we were starting from a scratch. We had to organize everything, from the
equipment and chemicals, to chairs in the waiting room for patients. And there were
three of us at the time: Justyna, Marcin and myself. One day I asked Marcin how we
were going to do it and what we should start from. Marcin, our manager, a happygo-lucky, straightforward man, smiled widely and said something that I kept in my
mind as a valuable guidance for the future. He said that we shouldn’t worry because
we work as a team and together we will manage to do everything right and then
we will be improving our performance. He added that we shouldn’t be afraid to
propose our own solutions because this was our lab and the atmosphere we were
building there would be the atmosphere of our common workplace.
Dozens of places were seen and visited in just 5 working days and the final choice
was made.
When Kasia finished, we presented our manager a gift – a T-shirt with
his picture and the word “Sheriff”. Because he really was our Sheriff,
a person who not only supervised our performance but also taught
us to make decision on our own, inspired our passion for quality and
showed us in practice the significance of teamwork.
MY MEDICOVER STORY
The only proper building found was ruined and had to be renovated from zero.
Nobody from abroad believed in a team and a possible success, so the expectations
were kind of dramatic and the clouds were thickening.
Despite the general attitude coming from the top and a very aggressive situation
surrounding we found the best possible builders who had to finalize the constructions
in just unbelievable 3 weeks.
Together with a beginning of reconstruction works the relocation of analyzers and
all the possible assets of the company began. Tracks and the company’s cars were
moving back and forward all day long, moving the devices from rooms we were
leaving to a newly renovated ones.
Most of the team except of a couple of doctors in the laboratory and a chief nurse
in the reception were packing and carrying the laboratory equipment from early
morning to a late night. By the last day all the tests orders were received in the old
laboratory but performed in a new one. I hope patients would be very surprised if
only they knew that tere was nothing in the rooms behind the reception area.
So and so, we have achieved a great success as a team proving that
our strength is in our unity. We showed everybody that that the
fittest always survives and guts over fear.

SYNEVO IS A BIG AND FRIENDLY FAMILY
My professional story with Synevo is split into two parts – before and
after. And, as usually, there are two sides to this situation. One is the
pain, fear, tears, reflections on life and setting priorities. The other is the
belief that in these difficult times for Ukraine and all of us individually,
the Synevo team will support us and help overcome every difficulty. For
the past year the team has become something more to me than just
‘work’.
In 2012, I came to Luhansk to work as a nurse in Synevo Donbas, which today is only
history. In the beginning I was terrified of teamwork. To accomplish the goals set and
achieve maximum results, in line with the company’s values and mission, we followed
the maxim: one for all and all for one. Later… war began. However, every morning
under fire and bombs we went to work, not being sure of whether we would reach our
destination or not; because our patients needed us, they had to receive information
about their health. We provided the required information despite explosions and
warnings, until we could do it properly and timely. Then we had to leave (I hope it’s
only temporary), because this house is not our home anymore. You think you’re all
alone in the world, you do not know what to do, how to live. And here enters the
Synevo Ukraine team with their assistance, waiting for us with open arms wherever we
arrived, from Kharkiv to Lviv. Proposals to move came from every part of Ukraine where
Synevo was present. It was a real relief to know that “Ukraine was Unity.” Today I work
in Kharkiv in Synevo “east”, where the team members are very friendly and welcomed
me to their family. Again, I can work as a nurse and inform patients about their health
condition.
My story is about Synevo’s team spirit. About a team, which despite
difficult times and numerous obstacles, fulfilled its duties in a timely and
reliable manner. This is the story about my sense of pride and gratitude.

FOURTEEN WONDERFUL YEARS
In the course of time, every man whom I happened to meet on my way
turned out to be my teacher. I have learnt great things, but I have also
had some bad experience, which have all helped me become who I am
today. Every department, the part of which I had the pleasure to be, has
left some trace in me. Every person whom I worked with has become my
friend. And the story I want to tell you took place in the summer of 2010.
After long negotiations our colleague from the sales department, George Dumitrescu,
had finally signed a contract with Telekom Mobile. The negotiations and drawing up
of the contract had taken a long time, so on Friday evening we ‘woke up’ with an
awareness that on Monday morning we were supposed to launch that contract with
about 3000 people registered in the system. The whole work was supposed to be
performed in such a way that our business partner should not feel at any time any
discomfort stemming from the activation or lack of activation of the contract. Had
it not been a Saturday (a day off) on the following day, the implementation of the
contract would have been a great challenge.
After a few minutes of looking into each other’s eyes, without the need to discuss
anything really, we decided that the next day and the day after next we would come
to work in the office. The work was really tedious and meticulous, but on Sunday
afternoon we were more happy than after winning in a lottery. The subscription
plan was in place, the contract was entered into the system and the employees were
registered as subscribers.
That was one of the many moments when I felt that we are united as
a team, for whom respect to our business partners, a well done job
and appreciation for the values is of key importance.

SYNEVO UKRAINE – MY DREAM COMPANY
It is my seventh year in Synevo Ukraine. Our company is a union of likeminded professionals, energetic, open and honest people who have a
constant desire to develop. The feeling of pride which emerged after
the first months of employment not only did not subside, but grew even
stronger. Especially in the years 2014-2015, in this difficult and tragic
period for my country. And this is what my story is about.
I was a doctor in my “former life”, so the quality and credibility of our tests are
essential to me. I remember one situation which took place in Mariupol. We have
just opened a new branch and signed contracts with local clinics. An employee of
one of the clinics phoned me. She asked me to talk to a mother who brought her
child for consultation. The mother was crying into the receiver. Not surprising! Her
three year old son had digestive problems; the paediatrician who was suspecting
celiac disease referred the boy for testing to a local laboratory. The tests results were
positive. It wasn’t hard to understand the mother’s reaction. I tried to calm her down
and explain that there is a more innovative and reliable tests that she could do in our
laboratory. The mother agreed, the boy had a blood sample taken. Then came the
long and restless time of awaiting for the result – the tests were referred to the IPD
laboratory. The one day , the phone rings again and again I hear the mother crying.
But this time these are tears of joy – the diagnosis was not confirmed. The young
mother’s gratefulness was endless.
I often hear doctors saying, “Synevo – is a top class laboratory. Whenever
I have a new patient coming in with a bundle of results from different laboratories,
I always refer them to Synevo, because I am sure that they will provide me with the
most reliable diagnosis.”
MY MEDICOVER STORY
I could share many more similar examples, but I would like to tell you about
something else, something sad, but very important for me.
It’s no secret that we are all going through a difficult time because of the events
taking place in our dear Ukraine. The Heavenly Sotnya, the occupation of Donbass,
Ilovaisk cauldron, our cyborgs …. It’s impossible to count all the heroes … It’s
impossible to describe this nightmare. It is difficult, nearly impossible, not to fall into
despair and panic.
Throughout this ordeal we have felt the support of our superiors. They wrote to us
letters about the situation in the country, conducted training sessions under one
slogan, “Together we are Strong”. No one tried to keep the news from us, but at the
same time it was obvious that the company would do everything possible to keep
its employees.
When working at Synevo Donbass became life-threatening to the employees, the
company winded up its operations there, but offered us jobs in other regions of
Ukraine. Nurses, one laboratory assistant and a medical representative from Donbass
are now working in Kharkov. I sincerely hope Kharkov has become their second home.
Sometimes you’re not far from despair – the war goes on, Ukraine’s greatest sons are
dying. We all try to help the Ukrainian army as best as we can. But this is fragmented
and chaotic aid , and in times of incomprehensible truce, it is easy to be driven to
apathy and hopelessness. And then we were offered a very helpful game, called
“Treasure Chest”. We all knew what this would entail, no question about it. How
difficult it was to come up with the right name, create a joint action plan- but it all
worked!
It is an amazing feeling, the sense of belonging. Our “Kharkov Sakura” Team helps
the injured, , children and refugees. Our team involvement in social projects is like a
breeze of fresh air, that forces us to wake up, take action and not give up.
Our participation in a number of various social projects has helped me gain confidence
that Ukraine will win in this undeclared war and will become an independent,
flourishing and beautiful country.
The name of our team, “Kharkov Sakura” triggers associations with blossoms. And
Synevo Ukraine is perceived as an oasis of successful business in the Ukraine, and
example to be followed by others.
All our corporate values are very close to my heart. It’s a pity that in this short essay
I can only touch upon some of them, like passion for quality, entrepreneurship,
integrity and teamwork.
To conclude, I would like to emphasise that if all companies and
their employees followed in our footsteps, we would quickly see the
Ukraine of our dreams.

RUNNING WITH THE LOGO OF MEDICOVER
I have been cooperating with Medicover centre in Cluj-Napoca from the
moment it was established. Because we have been developing together
as a team, sharing the values in our lives and at work.
In the fall of 2014, along with some big changes taking place among the staff,
we challenged our colleagues to take part in the International Cluj Marathon in
April 2015. Some started their training from cross runs, others took part in various
running contests. We created two groups, female and male, under the same logo
of Medicover Team Spirit. George Istrate, RSM, wanted us all to run together on
the same day during his stay in Cluj and he gave us some t-shirts. Rares Gavrilescu
took care of printing the logo on the t-shirts, Daniel Bercia established a Medicover
Running Club Cluj group on Facebook (runners and gallery). Wearing the t-shirts (see
the photo) was a big incentive to us on the day of the event: Daniel arrived at the
finish line fighting till the last drop of energy, and I ran faster than in the previous
years.
Team spirit emerges and develops in the course of team work. I am
certain that the participation of Medicover in Cluj Companies’ Cross
to be held in September 2015 will be a team success. Real values
never Lose on their relevance. The passing of time has the same effect
on them as on good quality wine: they become more refined.

QUALITY ALWAYS COMES FIRST
My story begins in July, 2005. A hot, summer day- the day of my job
interview at the Medicover Centre in Marynarska Street with the
Customer Service Coordinator, Anna Pietrzak, and the Manager of the
Medicover Centre, Iwona Pokwicka, currently the President of Invimed. I
passed the interview and was employed as a Receptionist. A great day. A
new beginning, it’s time to get the ball rolling.
Everything is new: the people, the patients.. Everything runs like clockwork. I was
running around, inquiring about everything. Loads of patients, I had to handle
properly at the reception desk. My goal was that every patient had to leave the
reception desk with a smile. Quality, quality, quality comes first. Words of praise
gave me wings. Then I moved to the CM in Domaniewska Street – a beautiful
reception area, everything brand new. And my main goal i still the same: satisfied
patients. And that’s the way it was. I was mad at other receptionist when they failed
to provide top quality service to patients! This was noticed and rewarded; in March
2006, I was advanced to Customer Service Coordinator. Success !!!!
Loads of work, but everything was the way I wanted it to be – beautiful and
professional! I tried to promote my work ethics among my co-workers. And that is
how another year passed in Medicover. I attended numerous trainings and met many

new people. During one of these sessions at the office I met Ania Przetacznik who
was conducting the training. Ania told me that our HR department had a vacancy
waiting for me. They were looking for someone conscientious, a good listener , a
professional. Afterwards, everything went really quickly. An interview with the HR
Manager, Kasia Olszewska which ended in April 2007 with me becoming an HR
Process Administrator. A new department but the same priorities: quality, quality
and quality. Once again my work was recognized, and in September 2009, I was
advanced to HR Administration Specialist.
The fire in the woods near Sofia in 2013 was devastating for many people
and left a significant mark on the tree population in that area. Later on
in this year, one of our sales managers started an initiative to plant trees
in the naked land. The news for his noble, green idea quickly traveled
throughout the Synevo divisions across the country. Many members of
the Synevo family were motivated and inspired and came together to
help out.
I’ve worked for the HR department ever since; great people and an
exceptional approach to customers, but this time, I mean internal
customers, the Medicover employees. I always want to serve my
fellow co-workers in the best possible way, so that they leave our
office with a smile. I provide HR services to our employees in the
central and northern region. I search for solutions, I never leave
an employee without an answer. This is my goal ! These are the
rules I follow in life- it helps- in return I get a smile and a satisfied
‘customer’. There’s never enough of this type of quality!!!! And
here I am ten years later, still with Medicover. And that’s my story.
Some brought their own shovels, others came with big trucks, and overall, we
organized ourselves in such a manner that at the end we managed to do a lot
of good in one day. Everybody brought their own unique talents and the effort
wasn’t unnoticed. The event received vast media coverage and the Synevo team
was mentioned as a big contributor. Not only was this a great way to lend a helping
hand to our community, but also it was an opportunity to demonstrate our strong
team bond and spirit, the excellent work we do as an entity and further improve the
way we work together.
Thank you and all the best,
Katarzyna Sianowska
MY MEDICOVER STORY
The entrepreneurship of one men not only led to the publicity for
Synevo as an eco-friendly company, employer to professionals who
work together as a team, but also turned out to be a valuable
experience for all of us, because it improved our teamwork
exponentially. I was able to meet coworkers from other cities that I
had only been in touch with via phone or e-mail. Meeting them face
to face, and working alongside with them strengthen our working
relationship. We are proud to say that our team spirit is so strong it
translates outside of our working quarters.

TOGETHER FROM START TO FINISH!
One August day, when I was riding my bike through one of the parks in
Łódź, I received a telephone call from Synevo in Warsaw with a job offer.
In three days I changed my job, the city and my whole life, really.
After a few months, when I was running through the streets of Warsaw I came up
with a research idea. How was it possible that people could perform extreme physical
effort in sports? The aim of the project entitled, “Triathlon under a Microscope” is
to analyse laboratory results of people taking up the triathlon challenge. Synevo
supported my initiative, and the laboratory team is taking an active part in the
research. Additionally, Warsaw was joined by Gdańsk in this project. The grand finale
and culmination of the project will take place on August 9 at the Herbalife Ironman
70.3 Gdynia finishing line. Under a common banner we will be taking blood samples
for testing.
This date will also mark the two years I have been working for Synevo,
while the bicycle, which came up in the beginning of my story, is a an
indispensable element of a triathlon. It’s better to believe in people
and dreams than in coincidences. Not only in August.

AN UNFORGETTABLE EVENT
Throughout the thirteen years in Medicover, I have always been impressed
with the team spirit I faced everywhere I was working. There are many
beautiful moments I could describe. I chose one, but this doesn’t make
the remaining less important.
Ten years ago, when I was working in Grozovici, a group of twenty foreigners came
in, requesting medical certificates, which they needed as fast as possible to obtain a
permit to stay in Romania. This task required loads of work within a very short time.
While I was checking and completing the certificates, my receptionist friend offered
her help and, apart from fulfilling her regular duties, she helped me stick on revenue
stamps. Thanks to her assistance I managed to finish in time and the patients were
happy.
Team spirit should not only be an expression; it should be present
in our everyday work, in our readiness to “go the extra mile” for our
colleagues, to go beyond the duties specified in the job description.
Such an attitude contributes to work efficacy and strengthens the
team. This, in turn, makes you want to go to work knowing you’ll be
with colleagues you can truly rely on.

HAPPY EVERYDAY
Last year when spring was just beginning to sprout and the trees were
starting to turn green we were greeted by the Municipal Inspector at our
institution. He informed us that all of the trees on the property must be
mounded. He then “kindly” promised to return the next day to check if
they were.
That day there wasn’t a single shovel on location. “What to do?” we thought. We
were in danger of getting a fine so we had to work with what we had and it turned
out we only had a scoop. After the scoop was found it was time to answer the
question “Who will do it?” Suddenly everyone was suffering from back, hand, leg or
eye pain. So in order to be fair we decided that all of us would take turns.
I have to add that our location is in the middle of the city on the
busiest street in town so there were plenty of onlookers. The passing
cars honked at us, boys made jokes and whistled at us and that all
would have been fine if it didn’t start to rain. The rain and filming
this unusual activity with our phones turned it into a very cheerful
memory.
We were able to avoid any fines and we gave the people passing by
an inspiring show.

MISSION IMPOSSIBLE
“Tell us a story” Kasia and Ola asked me. The situation I admit is quite
difficult to me. Meaning I cannot just tell stories. And definitely cannot
do it by prescription. The last person who has asked me to tell a story was
my son. It was one month ago. I told him something about a fairy and a
dragon-don’t remember even what exactly, but he fell asleep after two
minutes. But, now, the situation is completely different. Because my son
is three years old and doesn’t send me many corporate emails. Well, why
not-I have thought to myself, after all, I have been working for five years
in the company and, surely, have some good stories to tell.
This story more than anything is about people. The people of Synevo Georgia- that
are ready to take responsibly, that are working together trying to help their company
to get better, professional in the present and survive in the past. Long time ago,
in the startup of the company, we had a crisis. This crisis was as all big emergency
cases, a struggle for death or life. Our sole and biggest client at that time, was the
Georgian republican hospital which simply stopped paying the bills. So, our team
(doctors, nurses, drivers) woke up to a snowy and frosty December morning when
the company had no income. After some weeks, we managed to come up with
somehow different but simple business plan. All the employees turned to laboratory
medical representatives who would meet with doctors, clinics and other potential
customers.

MEDICOVER – LIFE EXPERIENCE
Meanwhile in the lab one lab doctor was left to perform the analysis and one nurse
in the reception to receive the patients. All others were meeting for a short update
in the morning, taking their winter coats and going to the field, talking to the
medical society in Tbilisi. The result was better than expected to say the least. We,
as employees, returned the company to the same income as before the crisis in a
period of several weeks. After the monthly adventure, everybody returned to their
regular working places.
Today, we have more than 50 employees and 15 lab centers across
Georgia. All of the team members that were at that time are still
working and they are a cardinal part of our company. Now, when
I think about that hard period we had, I fill proud. Proud that,
together, we achieved what then seemed mission impossible.
In that example, I think we saw the real effect of team work. Every
team member individually showed initiative and gave empowerment
and strength to other employees at all the levels.
My story at Medicover started in my student days, at the time when
everybody discovers their personality. It is also the years when we start
living on our own and the acquired experience shapes us as human
beings / characters / professionals.
My work started 7 years ago at Medicover Call Centre – a place where many people
had also begun and many of them have been still working there and remained
friends after so many years. It is with great pleasure and a little bit of nostalgia that
I recall the moment when my direct superior called me to his office and together
with the call centre coordinator asked me if I wanted to get promoted to one of the
newly opened positions, a Major Account Specialist, to which I had already been
recommended by them. I remember now when they stated that the Call Centre
would feel great loss, that they appreciate me very much and that I would surely be
successful in the new team which I was supposed to join (I even noticed small tears
in the corners of their eyes). At that moment I felt the team spirit characteristic for
this company. Dave gave me a chance to develop myself, even though it would have
been easier for them to keep me at the call centre, where I had been working well.
This is one of the instances I will never forget.
The team spirit and passion for quality are the two most important,
from my point of view, qualities of Medicover. I was impressed when
a very big client of ours told me that the difference between us and
the competition is visible in the involvement of the whole team,
deeply devoted to the company, in caring for details and quality of
our services. I am proud that I have been brought up in this team and
I hope to have an opportunity to further develop myself here.

HISTORY OF THE TEAM
The story I want to tell you had many twists of fate and it synchronised
almost unbelievable efforts. It took place five years ago. At that time
I worked at the Outsourcing Department. General Electric Company
needed a rescue team for their division in Eolian Park, in the District of
Constanta. Of course everything ASAP!
Since there was no opportunity to provide it in the form of an internal service, I was
trying to outsource it immediately to a supplier who would be ready to provide an
ambulance with a crew to service GE division 6 days per week 12 hours per day.
The first offer of the service organised together with the supplier, i.e. renting the
ambulance with a crew was extended to our client. Soon after our meeting we came
to the conclusion that we can sign a contract for ambulance rentals, however, we
cannot hire the crews directly from the supplier due to some legal restrictions, so we
had to look for another variant…
We have gathered a necessary team at Medicover and we came up with an idea of
employing 3 complete crews (3 ambulance drivers, 3 nurses and 3 doctors)and …
so we did.
The Major Account proved that nothing is easy to sell but surely nothing is
impossible. Her mission was to come back to the original offer, because the costs
of the second variant were much higher – the price offered to the client was ca.
EUR 20,000 per month. The Clinic Manager had been mobilized as early as the
MY MEDICOVER STORY
first talks. He had to go to the facility in the municipality of Fantanele in order to
assess the conditions in which the service was supposed to be rendered. Our Legal
Counsellor clearly understood the priority nature of that task and decided to support
us in implementing the contractual provisions which proved to be extremely nonstandard. HR helped us in drawing up employment contracts for 9 employees within
a few hours from the moment they received the required documents, as well as in
obtaining the opinion of the Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Public Health
without which the cooperation agreement with the District Rescue Service could not
have been concluded.
I am certain that without the contribution of every Medicover
team member and their entrepreneurship – the value observed by
Medicover, the whole operation would not have been finalized so
fast and so efficiently.
Why am I writing about this? The answer is simple: everything boils
down to “team work”.
And the satisfaction of our clients makes us satisfied.

MY STORY AT MEDICOVER
If you really desire something then fate will give it to you. That’s how my
story goes. Dreams become reality and decisions last for years to come. I
have been with Medicover for over nine years already.
I remember one very important day for me, when after five years of working for a
respected Law firm in Warsaw I had a sudden realization. I thought to myself that I
would like to change my job and utilize my university education in combination with
the things I learned through my, at that point nine year, work experience.
I was pondering where I would like to work in the nearest future and without
hesitance I decided that Medicover was the right place. I sent my CV to the general
address without applying for any specific listing on the Medicover website. Why?
At Medicover I could count on a health insurance package. I always valued a good
atmosphere which was apparent during my visit at Centrum Medicover at Bitwy
Warszawskiej. I also valued the quality of the doctors with whom I came in contact.
I was always treated with respect, in good spirit with a smile on the doctor’s face. I
myself am like this so it was a confirmation of my belief that this is the right place
for me. It’s exactly this type of company that I want to work for and to this day I do!
After my first interview I received the offer to work for the Director of the Medicover
Group at the same time I had the opportunity to work part time at the HR department
at Medicover Polska. There, I discovered real HR, and so I became a Recruitment
and Development Specialist. After a few years I became the coordinator for training
and today I am an HR Business partner. I have the opportunity to work in a team
where quality and satisfaction are important values. I have the opportunity to make
decisions and support my colleagues. I am glad to be a member of the Medicover
Group and I am glad that I communicate with people from other companies.
I am credible and I enjoy the trust placed in my work. I see confirmation
of this in my everyday work. I am happy to be here!

THINKING OUT LOUD
All of us find ourselves in a circle of events overcoming obstacles, solving
problems and creating new challenges. Sometimes we ask ourselves the
question: “What truly makes us who we are? What makes us adapt or
change, learn and grow?” The answer is obvious our inner “me”. Our
personalities are also influenced by their surroundings. Without a doubt
primarily this influence comes from our family and, secondarily, from our
friends. And though it may seem strange, the third influential force is
our work. As work I mean several things like career, team, place of work,
social package, etc. Thanks to it, we can spend more or less time with our
families and friends. I want to share with you some thoughts about what
Medicover has brought into my life.
I work in the sales department and it’s truly something I wanted to do. Finishing
my internship, I suddenly realized that I’m much better at healing people’s souls
than healing their bodies. That’s why I have chosen to fulfill the duties of a medical
representative. My confidence was boosted by the fact that I knew I was offering a
service of the highest quality since I had seen that every member of the team was
giving their full. The will to improve yourself has always been supported by the
company through courses and support in getting degrees. An honest, open and
universally improving team always motivated its members to develop their talents.
This was apparent through the creation of mini spectacles, writing scenarios and
coming up with creative ideas. Thanks to my colleagues at work I gained many

friends. I can always count on their support as well as their constructive criticism
which allows me to feel more confident and strengthens my will to improve. I
have taken the Hippocratic Oath which is why I still help people but no longer as a
doctor but as a person who helps in gaining additional medication in treatment and
prevention of diseases. .
My story shows my own evolution which took place thanks to my
work at a company where it’s “one for all and all for one”. Each
member of the team tries to do their work as best as they can and
to help others. Each member is honest before themselves and before
their colleagues. they try to add as much as they can to achieve
common goals, doing it in an unconventional but appropriate way.
Here quality is not just a word but a main motto.
My story at Medicover started four years ago. At that time I was an
inexperienced graduate of a nursing school, straight after college,
consequently, many doors were closed before me.
It was here that I found people who trusted me and provided me with support by
accepting me as a member of their team. The team was there every time I needed it,
I was presented with values that serve as guidelines for the whole clinic, and today I
can really say that those 5 qualities define us.
I was very pleasantly surprised when one day a patient confessed that only
at Medicover he had learnt what medical service quality was all about. He said
that before he entered our door, all the doctor’s appointments concerning labour
medicine had meant asking one question, then placing a seal and signing the
necessary documents. Passion for quality means that the patients who had been
subscribed to our system when working for a number of companies, come back to
our clinic for various services, even though they no longer work in those companies.
We are a team who put the whole heart in what we do, so the result
is QUALITY!

MY MEDICOVER STORY
One of the values pursued by employees of “Medicover” is a priority of
reaching a perfect quality. These are not only beautiful slogans targeted
at obtaining new clients but the reality put into life by the employees of
the Medical Center.
Taking into account my professional duties and obligations I devote a lot of time
to talk to people who are actually not our employees. When I dictate the official
address of “Medicover” it is always incredibly pleasant to hear “I know where it
is!” or “I have heard a lot about your company!” or “I have used your service!”
or “your workplace is so beautiful! My dream is to work there!”. Such comments
prove the fact that our team members oblige themselves to provide the best quality
service, to give the joy of motherhood to women who have already lost their hopes,
propagate healthy lifestyle, encourage to take care of one’s health and well-being
on one’s relatives. The company’s employees always try to find individual approach
to problem solving concerning our customers and try to make their visit at our
healthcare unit as comfortable and effective as it is possible.
I am proud to be a member of this large MEDICOVER family!

QUALITY MEANS SYNEVO
My story began one day when I was looking out the window and noticed
a piece of paper saying “Synevo Tests” put up on the nearby building.
My friend Google told me that ‘Synevo’ was a European chain of medical
laboratories, which meant that the quality standards should be high.
When I went in, asking whether there were any vacancies, I received
an affirmative answer. The cosmic images of viruses only confirmed my
feelings that this was pure fantasy.
I began my work in Synevo as a trainee and I continue to acquire knowledge all the
time. The sampling methods differ greatly from the techniques used in national
healthcare institutions. After taking blood samples, the highest words of recognition
were “This is Europe”, or “So fast? I haven’t felt anything”. Working some time
in this company I realised that this quality of services can be achieved by placing
particular emphasis on learning and by conducting employee assessments. I received
my first theoretical and practical knowledge from my experienced co-workers, and
with time I could improve and systematize it in the scientific centre. The half-yearly
assessment of knowledge and skills encourages self-improvement and development,
and keeps you in good form.
Sincere approach to patients is written into the profession of a healthcare professional,
but in Synevo it is treated with devotion. A good word not only affects the quality
of services and attracts customers, but also heals. Special patient-oriented training
sessions help us in this area.

ME AS A PART OF SYNEVO
To learn and improve continuously – this is my motto, which fortunately matches the
values of Synevo Ukraine.
Striving for quality is the constant goal of Synevo Ukraine, enhancing the level of
professional know-how of the staff, which affects the quality of customer services.
P.S. Although the following values are not listed among the Medicover
or Synevo values, they are very important to me, personally. When
war started in Ukraine and the employees from southern and eastern
regions found themselves in very difficult circumstances, the company
did not leave them, but helped them find a new home and place
within the team. When employees from other regions united to help
our army, I realised that Synevo Ukraine was not only a European
company, but a family you could always count on.
I remember so well when almost two years ago I came to work in “Synevo”
company. Already during my internship I noticed a visible difference
between a stationary ward when I used to work back then and this
company. Till then, I had never been exploring the field of this type of
service. Therefore, I was under a great impression of its level, care for the
employees, fantastic communication not only with clients but between
work colleagues in general. When I became a part of the company it also
meant that I started to belong to the whole family of employees where
everyone is a part of a large mechanism which perfectly coordinated
reminds a Swiss watch.
The “School for nurses” educational program which I attended at the beginning of
my career here gave me a great opportunity to raise my qualifications and skills and
get to know and have discussions with my colleagues from the branches located in
other cities. I am happy with permanent assessment of my professional output as it
contributes to its continuous improvement. Periodically appearing novelties in client
service standards allow us to keep the right form and common target of perfect
customer service. It is because high quality is a prior value of the company and its
guarantee.
The company encourages us to education and improvement of skills
but also to a common participation in various forms of entertainment
such as “The Great Treasure Chest” and sport activities such as
“Corporate semi-marathon” in which I am going to participate soon.
It is a great opportunity to get together in order to obtain a common
goal. I am truly grateful to my company for supporting us during
such difficult time in our country!
