Soup Winner: Mainely Brews Lobster Stew
Immediately the judges noticed the beautiful color
and generous bowl of stew nicely garnished with
chopped parsley. As we dug deeper, we were
surprised by the amount of claw meat and rich
flavor of the broth. The dish couldn’t get much
better ... which was noted after a few rounds of
double dipping. “Delicious!”
Appetizer Winner: Amici’s Cucina’s Summer
Fruit Sacchettis
A unique dish that included cheese filled pasta
purses served with oranges and fresh blueberries.
It was served with a simple sauce, but full of color
and flavor. This dish could have been served as a
light dessert. “An overall nice presentation.” If
this was your first time trying a sacchetti, we bet
you’ll try it again!
Honorable mention to MaineGeneral Medical
Center for the creamy haddock chowder and well
executed Strawberry Salad composed of local
greens, pecans, chunks of cheese and tossed with a
light poppy seed dressing.
Sandwich Winner: Inland Hospital’s Lobster
Reuben
This creative sandwich was served on toasted rye
bread with a generous amount of lobster meat, a
tasty cabbage slaw and melted swiss cheese. For
only $5, this sandwich was a steal … it even came
with kettle chips.
Entrée Winner: MaineGeneral Medical
Center’s Grilled Turkey & Local Veggie Kebob
The Kebob was grilled to perfection accompanied
by a very flavorful yogurt sauce for dipping or
drizzling. The veggies spoke for themselves and
added a variety of colors to the plate. They
utilized both green and yellow beans for a

Raspberry Parfait
On a warm summer day what more could you ask
for? This dessert was layered with color and
flavor. It was smooth and refreshing. The fruit was
an added bonus some of it even chocolate dipped.
Booth Decoration Winner: Mainely Brews It
was clear that this vendor made an effort to dress
up its space. Mainely Brews’ booth had white
linen tablecloths, fresh flowers in large planters,
