The Bi-Metal production on the TMP
- Todays Production Cycle
Advantages:
Ring & Core
no pre-joining process needed
•
elimination of possible punch
markings during joining process
•
higher machine availability,
>> elimination of a pre-joining
operation on a coining press
•
seperate polishing process of
ring / core, which is easier
with two different materials
•
higher punch life-time
•
less coining forces

Conclusion
A pre joining process in the production of Bi-Metal collector coins has no
advantages !
Production results for the customer are more cost-effective in joining & coining
the product in one production cycle.
(simillar as in the circulation money production)
Lower cost value, as the pre-joining operation is not necessary.
The end-product result is much easier to control and to influence.
Tool cost is reduced.
The production flexibility with a Bi-Metal feeding system is unique on a TMP .
