With the 2016 football season just around the corner, we want to ensure that all Wooden Athletic
Fund donors are aware of all the unique experiences afforded to you. Here are a few of the
benefits you can enjoy to get the full “Bruin Game Day Experience.”
Premium Parking Experience
Start game day at the Rose Bowl with this exceptional, convenient benefit.
Parking at the Rose Bowl is allocated according to Wooden Athletic Fund
donor priority as an exclusive benefit of WAF Membership. Complimentary
Rose Bowl parking is offered at the Coaches Roundtable ($5,500+)
membership level and above, and with an annual Wooden Athletic Fund
membership at $25,000 and up, you can enjoy parking in Lot P,
the parking lot in closest proximity to the east side of the Rose Bowl.
Chancellor's Bruin Game Day Tailgate
Chancellor’s Bruin Game Day Tailgates are held prior to all home games at the Rose Bowl.
All parties start three hours prior to kickoff for maximum enjoyment. Admission to this tailgate is
offered to all WAF members beginning at the Bruin Athletic Club ($850+) level. Complimentary
admission tickets are offered according to membership level, beginning at
the $5,500+ Coaches Roundtable level. Besides enjoying a large buffet
assortment with traditional stadium food, special entrees and Bruin-themed
desserts, soft drinks, lemonade, ice tea and a full open bar, you get to
meet UCLA Chancellor Gene Block and Mrs. Carol Block. Inside the tent,
national broadcasts of NCAA football games going on around the
country can be viewed on multiple flat screen TVs, all while experiencing
the excitement of the UCLA Football Bruin Walk, the UCLA Spirit Squad,
and the UCLA Band before the game.
Pregame Sideline Experience
Take time out of your tailgating and join us before the game begins on the sidelines of the Rose
Bowl. Watch our team during their warm-ups from the field just feet away from the UCLA
student-athletes! When you take one of our pregame sideline tours, you get exclusive
behind-the-scenes access to the team area beneath the stands. Part of this sideline experience
includes a pregame talk from a member of our UCLA Football staff, where you will hear an inside
take on the team and upcoming game. You will also get
to experience what it feels like to walk out of the tunnel
and onto the Rose Bowl field on game day. This is a
great way to get into game mode before kickoff! This
complimentary experience is available to members at
the Bruin All-American ($3,500+) level and above.
Advance RSVP is required by August 19 in order to

Luxury Suite Experience
Watch Bruin Football with fellow Wooden Athletic Fund supporters in the comfort of a luxury suite
in Terry Donahue Pavilion at the Rose Bowl! With flat screen TVs and “extras” like readily-available
football programs, snacks, game programs and roster sheets, this is a great way to watch a game
with like-minded Bruins. Sitting in the WAF luxury suite gives
you stadium admission as well as suite access. Located on
the F Level at the north goal line, our luxury suite experience
comes complete with a plentiful,
complimentary buffet catered by Wolfgang Puck, along with
complimentary soft drinks and a full cash bar. This complimentary experience is available to members at the Coaches

UCLA Football Then Now Forever Fund
In order to help UCLA compete at a national, elite level in football,
the Then Now Forever Program was established. Then Now Forever,
or TNF, is an annual giving program designated to directly support
the excellence of UCLA Football. All financial support received is
used directly and solely to enhance critical areas for our football
student-athletes such as academic services, recruiting and dining and
nutrition. Given these resources, our student-athletes will have the
opportunity to keep the UCLA Football program to where it rightly belongs:
among the nation’s elite.
With a tax-deductible gift of $100 or more to the Then Now Forever fund, benefits begin with an
invitation for two to the annual Spring Football Practice and Coach Jim Mora Meet & Greet.
Benefits for larger gifts include complimentary admission to the annual Football Kickoff Dinner and

FOOTBALL’S THEN NOW FOREVER PROGRAM
EVENT RECAP
Bruin Viewin’ – July 16, 2016
Last month, over 3,000 Bruin Football Season Ticket Holders attended the first-ever Bruin
Viewin’ event at the Rose Bowl. Presented by Wescom, this event began with tours of Terry
Donahue Pavilion, which was open to all who wished to tour the seven-story pavilion. Season
Ticket Holders brought their blankets and picnic baskets to enjoy the Rose Bowl in a way they
never experienced before. Coach Mora and select staff and current football student-athletes
were in attendance to meet and mingle with guests. Lucky fans got to throw a football around
with members of the UCLA Football team while others took pictures in the UCLA-themed photo
booth. Set up the way it is on game days, the UCLA locker room was open to fans who took
pictures of themselves while trying on UCLA Football jerseys and helmets.
There was plenty of free popcorn for the main event: a showing of the movie “42” on the Rose
Bowl video board. Chosen out of three movie options by fellow Bruin season ticket holders,
“42” captured the story of Jackie Robinson (former UCLA Baseball, Track, Basketball, and
Football student-athlete) from his signing with the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1945 to his rookie
season in 1947 when he broke the color barrier in Major League Baseball. If fun and camaraderie is a measurement of success, then Bruin Viewin’ was a smashing one, and we thank all
attendees for their support of UCLA Football.

35 (and counting) Bruins Headed to Rio
As of this writing, 35 UCLA-affiliated athletes have been confirmed to represent their countries at the
2016 Olympic Games later this month in Rio, Brazil. UCLA affiliations include incoming freshmen,
current, and former student-athletes, as well as coaches and former coaches. Besides representing
the United States in their respective sport, UCLA will be represented on teams for Canada, Poland,
Ireland, Singapore, Brazil, the Netherlands, Greece, Italy, Columbia and New Zealand.
UCLA has one of the richest Olympic histories of any University in the country. UCLA has had at
least one competitor in every Olympics since 1920 with the exception of 1924, and has won a
gold medal in every Olympics they have competed in since 1932. Before the Rio games, UCLA
has a count of 250 medals: 126 gold, 66 silver, and 60 bronze. In the 2004 Olympic Games
alone, UCLA ranked # 1 among all universities in number of medalists (19) and number of
Olympians (57 representing the United States and 13 representing other countries.)

UCLA Football Kickoff Dinner – August 24, 2016
At the end of this month, UCLA Athletics will be hosting its annual UCLA Football Kickoff Dinner
on Wednesday, August 24, 2016, on the Royce Hall Quad on UCLA Campus. All members of
the Wooden Athletic Fund, as well as all Then Now Forever donors starting at the $100 level,
are invited to attend this event. This evening is a wonderful opportunity to join together with
fellow Bruins, as well as our UCLA Football seniors and coaches to celebrate the opening of the
2016 UCLA Football Season. This annual event, always a favorite, will feature a wonderful
dinner, drinks and a take-home gift, and UCLA Football Head Coach Jim Mora will recognize the
2016 seniors and coaching staff, as well as give an inside preview of the upcoming season.

Ole Miss NCAA Violations Involved Boosters – Don’t Let It Happen Here!
Two months ago the University of Mississippi announced significant NCAA rules violations in their
football, women’s basketball and track & field programs, including fraudulent entrance exam
scores and monetary payments to prospects, student-athletes and their family members. The
University acknowledged that Mississippi boosters were involved in several of these violations.
During the 2012-13 academic year, an Ole Miss booster assisted the school in the recruitment of
four prospects by engaging in recruiting activities and providing them with recruiting inducements
totaling approximately $2,250. The NCAA alleges an assistant coach knew of the booster's
involvement and, at times, facilitated his involvement.
The NCAA also alleges that Ole Miss football player Laremy Tunsil's estranged stepfather
received $800 from an Ole Miss booster on Aug. 22, 2014, and that a booster provided the
stepfather and other members of his family free lodging in Oxford, Mississippi, on 12 occasions
between June 2013 and May 2014. The NCAA determined the value of the extra benefits was
approximately $2,253. The booster’s actions took place despite rules education they had
received from the university.
Self-imposed penalties announced by the University of Mississippi include the termination of four
coaches, the disassociation of every involved booster, a post-season ban in women’s basketball;
a double-digit reduction of scholarships in the football program, a significant reduction in
off-campus evaluation days and official and unofficial visits in football and track and field, and
a $159,325 financial penalty.
