by the sea and the capital of the Riviera del Corallo

Fin dagli anni ’60 Alghero è una delle mete turistiche
più frequentate della Sardegna, grazie anche alla
presenza di monumenti e luoghi di interesse storico
e artistico. La città, chiamata anche la “piccola
Barcellona”, ancora oggi mantiene una forte
identità catalana. Passeggiando nel centro storico si
percepisce il particolare fascino di Alghero, attraverso
le caratteristiche stradine su cui si affacciano palazzi
in stile catalano, barocco e rococò.
CAPO CACCIA E LE GROTTE
Percorrendo la costa di Alghero si raggiunge Capo
Caccia, un promontorio di roccia calcarea da cui
potete ammirare uno dei panorami più belli e
suggestivi della Sardegna. Scendendo la suggestiva
scalinata, nota con il nome di Escala del Cabirol, si
raggiunge la famosa Grotta di Nettuno, vera e propria
meraviglia naturale. La griotta è accessibile anche via
mare con le imbarcazioni turistiche che partono dal
porto di Alghero.

Since the ‘60s Alghero is one of the busiest tourist
destinations in Sardinia, thanks to its historical and
artistic monuments and places. The city, also called
the "little Barcelona", still maintains a strong Catalan
identity. Walking in the old town you can feel the special
charm of Alghero, through the narrow streets that facing
the Catalan, Baroque and Rococo styled buildings.
CAPO CACCIA AND THE CAVES
Along the coast of Alghero there is Capo Caccia, a
limestone cliff, from where you can admire one of the
most beautiful and inspiring panorama of Sardinia.
Walking down on the impressive staircase, well known
as Escala del Cabirol, you reach the famous cave, the
Grotta di Nettuno, a true natural wonder. The cave is
also accessible by sea with boat that leaves from the
port of Alghero.

spiagge di sabbia bianca e dorata oppure piccole
calette incorniciate in paesaggi unici. Molte delle
spiagge si raggiungono facilmente con l’auto oppure,
con la bici o apiedi, attraverso sentieri immersi nella
natura tipica della macchia mediterranea. Le più
conosciute sono le spiagge di Maria Pia, il Lazzaretto,
le Bombarde, Porto Conte e Porto Ferro.
BEACHES
Along the 90 km of the coast of Alghero you will find
white sandy beaches and golden or small coves
framed in unique landscapes. Many of the beaches are
easily reachable by car, bike or even walking through
the pathways immersed in the typical Mediterranean
scurb. The most famous beaches are Maria Pia,
Lazzaretto, Bombarde, Porto Conte and Porto Ferro.
DIE STRÄNDE
Entlang der 90 km der Küste von Alghero findet man
weiße und goldene Sandstrände oder kleine Buchten die
in einzigartigen Landschaften eingerahmt sind. Viele der
Strände sind leicht mit dem Auto, mit dem Fahrrad oder
zu Fuß, über Pfade die durch typische Mittelmeerraum
Natur gehen, erreichbar. Zu den bekanntesten Stränden
gehören der Strand von Maria Pia, il Lazzaretto, le
Bombarde, Porto Conte e Porto Ferro.
