Bodegas Hacienda de San Juan Bautista is located in Santiuste de San Juan Bautista, in Segovia, a
privileged area because it is surrounded by the more ancient vineyards of Verdejo grape. The
winery obtains the grape of this vineyard to elaborate white wines with a high quality under the
brand Señorío de Albar.
Bodegas Hacienda de San Juan Bautista was founded in 1988, by Jose María Vegas father when
the region started with the appellation Rueda and decided to bet for this D.O. Nowadays the region
of Rueda is one of the most well known of the white wines in Spain and Hacienda de San Juan
Bautista is a figure in it.

The name of Ochoa has been famous in Navarra since the 14th century, as witnessed by the
fascinating document above. It states that Ochoa de Ayanz, wine master of Olite, was to be paid 36
‘libras’ (pounds) and 20 ‘sueldos’ for 216.5 ‘carapitos’ of wine. The bill is dated 1370 and made
out to Queen Juana, first-born daughter of the King of France, Queen of Navarra, Countess of

Emilio Rojo, who is also managing it with great success, founded this small winery in 1987. His
family has been producing wines in the Ribeiro region for over 200 years. It is no wonder that this
extraordinary man has managed to put his wine on the most-wanted white wine lists of Spain. The
bodega only produces between 400 and 900 cases of wine per year, depending on the harvest.

VIÑAS DEL VERO
Viñas del Vero Winemaker’s selection series comprises two wines that reflect the personality and
creativity of their creator. They are made from grapes specially selected by oenologist Pedro
Aibar from amongst the best grapes harvested from their best vineyards. The premium white
grapes used to produce this exclusive Clarión were hand picked at the beginning of September
2001 in the early morning hours. The difficult climatic conditions during harvest necessitated a
very thorough and careful winemaking process. A skin maceration was carried out over 6 hours at
16ºC before the alcoholic fermentation, which took place at the same temperature for 20 days. The
wine was not aged in oak and was fined with bentonite before undergoing an earth filtration. It was
bottled in February 2005.

Since 1994, la Compañía de Vinos Telmo Rodríguez is bringing back to life vineyards that have
witnessed an ancestral viticulture. A group of oenologist engaged in a viticulture of quality
decided to start a company capable of working in several vineyards at the same time. The goal was
not only to discover forgotten vineyards, but also to work with traditional ones. The vineyards
chosen survived years of neglect thanks to their balance and the quality of their fruits. They are
now harvested with the greatest care and human intervention is reduced to the minimum: neither
yeast nor bacteria are used in the wines.

Emilio Moro is a family-owned winery making wine for 120 years. A 3rd generation Moro,
Emilio started working in the winery with his father at the age of 14. In the late 80's he had a
meeting with his four children and they decided to increase the commercial end of the winery.
Emilio planted new vines, grafting the centenarian grapes onto the young ones. In 1989 when
Bodegas Emilio Moro was finally a reality, they launched their first wine, gaining the DO.
Nowadays they not only own 173 acres where they grow their indigenous grapes, Tempranillo or
Tinto Fino, but they have also extended the Cellar. In September 2001 the new winery was
finished.

La Pesquera, in 1972, Alejandro Fernández and wife Esperanza licensed their bodega in Pesquera.
This was well before Ribera del Duero was a well-known region for quality wines. The 16thcentury lagar and press house serving as grape receiving and processing through the 1982 harvest.
The barriques are a mix of American, Spanish and French oak, custom-cured and made by Spain's
finest coopers. His world-famous Tinto Pesquera is aged a minimum of 18 months in oak, with
selected Reservas and Grandes Reservas remaining in barrel for 24 months and longer.

La Granja Nuestra Señora de Remelluri is situated in the Western corner of La Rioja Alavesa,
between the Toloño mountain range and the River Ebro. Here the terraces are built like steps in the
slopes of the mountain and the vines are difficult to cultivate, low in yield but the very best quality.
The location of the vineyard, along with the semi-humid Atlantic climate, help to produce grapes
with all the characteristics necessary for the elaboration and ageing of excellent wines.

This remarkable estate is the creation of wunderkind Álvaro Palacios, a passionate winemaker who
was impressed enough by the potential of the northeast corner of Spain’s Catalonia to purchase a
property in Priorat. Álvaro Palacios studied and worked in Bordeaux. His two vineyards include
L’Ermita, which is an organically cultivated 25-acre vineyard, of which 5 acres are planted in
extremely old vines, and Finca Dofi, a 17-acre vineyard. The vines, which are planted on the
terraces of Priorat, yield tiny quantities of wine. Wines are aged in new French and bottled without
filtration.

Since 1994, la Compañía de Vinos Telmo Rodríguez is bringing back to life vineyards that have
witnessed an ancestral viticulture. A group of oenologist engaged in a viticulture of quality
decided to start a company capable of working in several vineyards at the same time. The goal was
not only to discover forgotten vineyards, but also to work with traditional ones. The vineyards
chosen survived years of neglect thanks to their balance and the quality of their fruits. They are
now harvested with the greatest care and human intervention is reduced to the minimum: neither
yeast nor bacteria are used in the wines.

This is a family owned winery in the Bierzo region run by the couple Ginés y Juani. Being small
producers that love the soil and mencía from Bierzo, they started to produce wine at the end of the
80’s. 80% of the vines are older than 55 years. Only one red wine is produced using the local
grape mencía with a crianza of 12 months in French oak. The result of this dedication is Xestal. A
wine difficult to acquire even in Spain, with an annual production of only 6,500 bottles a year.
