Memorial Lecture. This lecture is in honor of Raymond E. Hoffmann, Jr., MD, FACS who was an OSF Saint
Anthony Medical Center general surgeon, leader, mentor, educator, and friend. Dr. Hoffmann was instrumental
in developing paramedic education in Northern Illinois, and served in state and national leadership positions,
including president of the Illinois State Medical Society.
