Autumn Discovery Trail - Te Wao Nui a Tane (The Great Forest of Tane)
Friday 3 April - Sunday 19 April Collect your free trail booklet from the Botanic
Gardens Visitor Centre and explore the Great Forest of Tane. Children under 7 are
recommended to have assistance to complete the five tasks on the trail.
Autumn Art School Holiday Programme10:30am to 2:30pm, Tuesday 14 April to
Saturday 18 April (week two of the holidays)
Get creative with leaves - create leaf art, leaf printed bandanas and a leaf sun catcher!
Times: 25 minute workshops between 10.30am - 2.30pm, with session start times on the
half hour. Bookings will be taken on the day.
Venue: Old Information Centre (now DOC Visitor Centre), near Armagh entrance to the
Gardens. Cost: $2 per child to cover the cost of materials. Caregivers free but are
required during the sessions.

CHOCOLATE FUNDRAISER:
We would like to thank families who have already sold chocolate
bars for our school fundraiser.

UNSOLD CHOCOLATE BY THIS FRIDAY, 27TH MARCH 2015.
SAUSAGE SIZZLE:
MUFTI DAY FUNDRAISER:
We will be holding a sausage sizzle only this Friday, 27th March. The
children will be able to purchase a sausage for $2.00 and/or a juicie for
$1.00 each through their classroom teacher on Friday morning.
On Wednesday, 1st April, we will be holding a Mufti Day Fundraiser.
In exchange for a gold coin donation, the children will be able to
come to school wearing mufti in the colours of their House Groups.
The four groups are red, blue, green and yellow and the children will
know which group they are in.
CHOCOLATE FUNDRAISER/END OF TERM CAUGHT BEING GOOD ASSEMBLY:
Parents/Caregivers are warmly invited to our Assembly on Thursday, 2nd April, starting at 12noon, at which we will be holding our Chocolate Fundraiser prize draw with
great prizes for the best chocolate sellers. We will also be holding our End of Term
Caught Being Good prize draw. We look forward to seeing you.
VACANCY ON THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES:
Due to a vacancy on the Board of Trustees, the Board has decided
to fill the casual vacancy with our co-opted member Seleana Crichton. If within 28 days of publication of this notice written requests
to fill the vacancy by election are received to the school office
from at least 10% of eligible voters, the Board must hold a by-election. If 10% or
more voters have not called for an election, Seleana Crichton will become an elected
parent at the end of the 28 day notification period.
CHRISTCHURCH GONDOLA AND TIME TUNNEL TRIP:
In the first week of Term 2 we have planned to take each class to the Christchurch
Gondola and Time Tunnel. This is the final outing funded by the Red Cross and will
serve as a great starter activity for our term’s writing and inquiry learning. The trips
are planned on different days to avoid waiting too long to get onto
the gondola or to get into the Time Tunnel.

Room 4 and Room 11.
Children will be travelling by bus and will leave school at 9.30am, returning to school
around 12.30pm. Permission slips will be sent home with the children today.
EMPTY BOXES NEEDED:
Rooms 2 and 3 need empty boxes, such as cereal and tissue boxes and other big ones, and some empty glad wrap rolls and other packets, for their
discovery time next term.
