SOO WINCCI – MISS WORLD MALAYSIA 2008

On Aug 9, 2008 Wincci was crowned Miss World Malaysia.

She also won the Miss Talented title that year for performing 5 songs in 5 different
languages.
SOO WINCCI – SOON TO BE PHD BEAUTY QUEEN

On Nov 15, 2008, Wincci attained her Master in Business Administration from University of Sunshine Coast.

After her graduation on the same day, she flew to South Africa to represent Malaysia in the 58th Miss World
Beauty Pageant to compete with some 108 delegates from all over the world.

Her achievements in Miss World 2008 includes Semifinalists (Top 32) for “Miss World Top Model” and
Finalists (Top 19) for “Miss World Top Talent”. She performed the Chinese art of “Mask Changing” while
playing and singing self-composition “Beauty with a Purpose”.

After her performance, Zhang Zi Lin, the 57th Miss World, approached Wincci: “By showing the world with
such sophisticated performance, you are already a winner”.

Soo Wincci is currently pursuing her PHD in Business Admin under the scholarship of Open University.

Wincci composes songs, and her talent made
her the ambassador for National Youth Chinese
Song Composition Challenge.

Wincci visited Ti-Ratana during her pageant
week, and immediately after the visit, she
wrote a song called “Hope” for the
underprivileged children.

After her crowning, Wincci composed “Beauty
with a Purpose” for the world pageant. This
song is recorded in three languages, i.e. English,
Malay and Chinese.

Wincci has written 20 over songs so far
inclusive her recent Malay hit Musim Asmara.


Soo Wincci has been a favourite fashion muse for acclaimed designers such as
Carven Ong, Nazleen Noor, Key Ng, Dominique Chan and many more.

On April 1, 2010 Soo Wincci was officially named the country’s 10 most influential
and stylish socialites of the fashion industry at the Visa Stylo Avant-Garde Hair
Couture gala in Kuala Lumpur, together with Devakki, Zahida Rafique, Wendy Anne
Chong, Gillian Hung, Deborah Henry, Genevieve Sambi, Syafinaz Selamat, Al Hardy,
and Datin Joanna Low.

Wincci participated the first season of
MasterChef Selebriti Malaysia and made it to
