LIFO Missions
Guanabano Water Project 2015
LIFO’s Project Guanabano took place in July 2015. This project was constructed in a
town made up 8 community sectors. In total this aqueduct benefited over 336 families.
Over 2800 PVC pipes were distributed by our volunteers
All pipe was then glued and buried for
protection from livestock and the elements
A reservoir tank able to store over 26,000
gallons was built by locals and volunteers.
The LIFO trip offers volunteers the opportunity to
understand the magnitude of the water crisis along with
a chance to contribute and make a tangible difference
Bringing clean water to a community that has never had it is an
extremely rewarding experience that changes the lives of all villagers
Medical and Dental Clinics were held over 3 days.
75 general and 102 dental consultations were conducted.
Making connections and bringing hope is
also a great byproduct of our work. Our
young volunteers develop a great sense of
global awareness and social responsibility.
Thanks to your generous support it took less than two weeks for a group of 30 LIFO
volunteers along with members of the entire community to make clean, running water a
reality for more than 336 families in the towns that make up Guanabano.
Isabella continues to learn about the beauties of her
native country while bringing water, sanitation and
medical assistance to those who do not have it.
