January 2015 - Carroll Chamber of Commerce
January 2015 Newsletter THOUGHTS FROM PRESIDENT JOHN PERRIN Happy and prosperous New Year to everyone! Thanks to the fine leadership of our new Executive Director, Shannon Landauer, and 2014 Chamber President, Jair Mayhall, the tireless work of the chamber staff and the board of directors, the Carroll Chamber of Commerce is stronger than ever. Thank you to Jair Mayhall. Jair served as Board President last year. He not only guided the Chamber efforts, but truly led by example by “getting involved and getting results”. Thank you to the outgoing board members for their contributions to the Chamber. As is often the case, many will still remain very involved in committees and events, even though they no longer serve on the board. I would like to wish continued success to Aaron Juergens and Jenni Brown of GSC Juergens, Ann Fitzpatrick of St Anthony Regional Hospital, Ken Payer of Champion Ford, and Austin Scott of Websites to Impress. Welcome to our new board members: Presidential -Appointee Jason Sheridan of Hy-Vee; Ag-Representative Justin Schenkelberg of Schenkelberg Implement; Peg Sanders of The Graphic Edge; and Tom Simons of Feld Fire. In addition, thank you to Jill Schweers of Computer Concepts of Iowa and Andy Reiman of Carroll Glass for agreeing to sign on for a full term on the board. We are excited to have them join us for 2015! In true “Carroll-style”, we will not rest on our laurels. We have much work to do and 2015 is going to be a challenging and great year.
