Company and Group Presentation
Primegoods is the umbrella brand and Head of Group of 2 other Companies dedicated to
production, marketing and distribution of dry and frozen pastry products and ready-to-eat
meals.
In pastry business we have a Company named Pastelaria Confeitaria Rolo. Founded in 1995,
today Pastelaria e Confeitaria Rolo has over 160 employees spread over 5 production units
of a wide range of products (mostly bakery and pastry) located in the beautiful villages of
Mafra and Óbidos - Portugal.
With a philosophy based on a strong focus on innovation in manufacturing processes and
the use of advanced technology, our company is distinguished by accuracy, experience,
ability to develop new products and to preserve the flavor of traditional recipes.
Pastelaria e Confeitaria Rolo is certified by the standard IFS (International Food Standard,
Version 5) with Higher Level, reflecting the high quality standards in the treatment of raw
materials and finished products.
The huge daily production capacity, a total area exceeding 17,000 m2, and its fleet, respond
to market needs and ensure the distribution of our products to our customers within hours
after manufacturing. This ensures delivery of fresh and high quality products to our
customers.

The origins of our performance are factors such as quality and diversification of our
products, and a strategy of sustainable growth with a high sense of competitiveness.
Our several production units are specialized in different kinds of products, all very popular,
covering a wide range of consumers:
• Unit 1 is (the one you visited) placed in Mafra and manufactures cookies, sweet pies,
brioche fine products and all kinds of traditional cakes; some of these products are
available in different kinds of shapes and flavours; this is the oldest unit of the group;
• Unit 2 is placed in Mafra and manufacture only croissants in a very automated line
getting high levels of productivity; there are different cream options for filling the
croissants;
• Unit 3 is placed in Óbidos and produces a wide range of cakes that stand out for their
originality in appearance, rich texture and its traditional taste;
• Unit 4 is also placed in Óbidos and manufactures mostly frozen desserts of different
kinds (composed by a mixture of soft cake and a flavored filling), very appreciated by
the modern consumer;
• Unit 5 is also placed in Óbidos and produces crepes with different kinds of fillings, and
petit gateau, a chocolate dessert well appreciated by the gourmet consumer;

In the ready to-eat-meals we have a Company named Alsope – Sociedade de Produção e
Comercialização de Produtos Ultracongelados Lda. This Company has 3 years of operation
and employes over 40 people in 2 lines of production dedicated to Lasagna’s, Tagliatela and
Canelones production, fresh and frozen.
We are also starting a new Plant, this time owned by Primegoods itself, dedicated to Pizza’s
production with an installed capacity of over 15.000.000 pizzas per year, fresh and frozen.
The market recognizes the quality of our products and an efficient management model
whose priority is the continuous satisfaction of our customers. This fact turned our industry
into a leader in our business expertise.
The products mentioned above are sold in several countries such as Portugal, Spain,
Switzerland, United Kingdom, France and Angola. Our biggest clients are the largest
supermarket chains in Portugal and Europe (Lidl, Auchan, Sonae, Jerónimo Martins,
Mousquetaires Group-Intermarché, Diagroup) but also small businesses, ensuring a wide
spread of our products that shows a wide acceptance of our products by the consumers.
We work with our own brand but also with private labels, developing the products in
partnership with our clients.

Our main goal at the moment is to extend our customers nationally and internationally,
making known to the world the best of the Portuguese bakery and pastry industry and also
the ready to eat meals and Pizzas.
