Work Experience Camosun’s students benefit from our established co-operative education programs – paid work experience related to your field of study. Assistance is given to find a suitable job and employers report a high probability of hiring graduates of co-op programs over those students without work experience. Students can choose from over 100 programs in a variety of levels including: • • • Foundation Programs Diploma Applied Bachelor’s Degree • • • Certificate Associate Degree University Transfer These programs are offered within the following areas of study: School of Access School of Arts and Science School of Business School of Health and Human Services Centre for Sport and Exercise Education School of Trades and Technology For complete program details, please go to www.camosun.ca/international Admission Requirements Admission to all academic post-secondary programs is based on the following: • Graduation from secondary school or be 19 years of age on the first day of classes • Completion of BC English 12 with a C+ or better or an overall IELTS score of 6.0 with no individual band less that 5.5 or TOEFL score of 83 Camosun College does not maintain minimum GPA standards for admission but there may be program-specific requirements for math and/or science (consult the calendar or an advisor). Camosun College does not require standardized test such as the SAT or the ACT for admission to any of its programs. Students who do not meet the requirements for direct admission should still consult with a Camosun advisor to discuss admission to the foundation programs (including ESL coursework as well as math and science studies as needed). Credit may be granted for coursework completed in select International Baccalaureate or Advanced Placement subject areas. Please consult a Camosun advisor for details.
