El Ranchito Mexican Restaurant
Can’t jet off to the Mexican Riviera this spring break?
Even if you’re stuck up north, you can still enjoy its
cuisine. Check out these local hot spots for the next
best thing:
A Lake Oswego insitution, El Ranchito Mexican Restaurant dishes
out authentic flavor with its menu of Mexican standards.
Try El Ranchito’s tacos al carbon, recommended by waiter Alfonso
Cardenas, who has worked there for eight years.
Priced at $15.95, the tacos contain tender beef skirt steak that is
flame broiled, sliced and folded into soft corn tortillas with salsa Mexicano and fresh cilantro and is finished off with parmesan cheese on
top.
Also pictured are flautas, hand-held appetizers perfectly sized for
sharing.
El Ranchito Mexican Restaurant is located 329 Second Street in downtown Lake Oswego.
Señor Taco
Señor Taco offers speedy service but doesn’t sacrifice quality
when it comes to its Mexican fare.
Choose from a menu that features traditional tacos, burritos and
more, and try out this local favorite’s taco salad for a twist on a classic meal.
While visitors can dine in, food is mostly prepared to go, allowing
you to spice up even the most informal of occasions at home.
Señor Taco is located in the Lake Place complex at 333 S. State St. in
downtown Lake Oswego.
Manzana Rotisserie Grill
Looking to enjoy Southwest-inspired cuisine in
style? Manzana Rotisserie Grill serves up a homemade chicken tortilla soup topped with tortilla
strips and jack and cheddar cheeses.
“It’s awesome,” General Manager Kelly Miller
said. “It’s ‘the item.’”
And it’s a steal at $4 a cup and $6 a bowl.
Another customer favorite is Manzana’s rotisserie chicken tostada, available daily on the restaurant’s happy hour menu between 3 and 6 p.m. and
9 p.m. to close.
To make the hour even happier, sip on a southof-the-border staple — Manzana’s Grand Scratch
Margarita, made with Jose Cuervo tequila and a
kick of Grand Marnier, runs at $9.50. The restaurant also features a pomegranate margarita on its
happy hour list.
Manzana Rotisserie Grill is located at 305 First
Street in Lake View Village in downtown Lake Oswego.
Azteca Mexican

when it comes to Mexican cuisine.

margarita day Feb. 22? Not to worry,

sampled here by Lake Oswego residents Teryll Evans, left, and Krysten
Carlsen. The hand-shaken blend features Sauza Tres Generaciones Plata
Tequila, Patron Citronge and freshsqueezed citrus juices.
