ICONIC PIECES OF THE PAST
c.1935
LUCKY STRIKE
Multi-Color printed Lucky Strike labels from
around 1925–1942. In 1943, the green and bronze
pigments became short in supply as the U.S. government began painting a huge number of trucks and
tanks army green for use in World War II.
c.1929
c.1978
c.1972
DOWNY FABRIC SOFTENER
The iconic face of Downy Fabric
Softener is firmly planted in American
brand lore thanks in part to MultiColor’s long-standing partnership with
Procter & Gamble.
CARNATION MILK
Carnation Milk was a staple in households before refrigerators became a
common appliance in the mid 1900’s.
One of our largest customers, Nestle,
currently owns the Carnation brand.
IVORY LIQUID
Ivory liquid soap marked an important
milestone in Multi-Color’s long history as the
first blow-molded, in-mold label bottle in the
U.S. This innovation helped strengthen our
position as a leader in innovative labeling
solutions. Procter & Gamble, parent company
of the Ivory brand, remains a steadfast
customer of Multi-Color.
c.1916
WRIGLEY’S CHEWING GUM
William Wrigley Jr. Company
was Multi-Color’s first customer
and played an important role
as a prominent brand name in
our burgeoning roster of clients.
Wrigley continues to be the world’s
#1 chewing gum today and MultiColor is happy to still call parent
company, Mars, a customer.

Multi-Color Corporation
c.1963
GERBER OATMEAL CEREAL
The iconic Gerber baby logo was
originally introduced in 1928 and its first
baby cereal was launched in 1939. Gerber
became one of the first companies to
use “Better If Used Before” dates on
its packaging in 1963. Gerber’s parent
company, Nestle, continues to use MultiColor for labeling needs to this day.

EXPANDING OUR MARKET SEGMENTS AND GEOGRAPHIC FOOTPRINT
In 2008, Multi-Color embarked on an ambitious trajectory of international growth to broaden
the market segments we serve and to expand our geographic footprint, creating a more
balanced portfolio and a global manufacturing platform that many of our customers demand.
Multi-Color was a leader in the Home & Personal Care, Food & Beverage and Specialty label
markets in 2008, and through the over 25 strategic acquisitions since that time, we have
become the premier label solutions provider in the Wine & Spirits segment and cemented
ourselves in the Healthcare and Consumer Durables markets where we intend to reproduce
that same level of success.
In that timeframe, our growth includes a jump in employment of 825 employees to 5,000,
nine U.S. locations to 45 facilities across 20 countries, and 650 customers to over 7,000 today.
More important than the statistics is the continuance of quality and innovative labeling
solutions Multi-Color has provided during this period of growth. Because of the hard work
and craftsmanship of our global team, we are proud to be recognized as the world’s most
awarded label company.
