T The ATI Preliminary Program F or the convenience of families who are new to the ATI program, we have developed a process to help ensure a smooth transition into ATI. The ATI Preliminary Program differs from traditional ATI enrollment. Participants will receive their first year of curriculum and a three-month rental of the life-changing Basic, Advanced, and Anger Resolution Seminars. These seminars are essential for encouraging the development of a Biblical worldview. Upon completion of these seminars, the Financial Freedom Seminar will be sent to the family as a gift from the ATI Department. During their year in the ATI Preliminary Program, a family will receive Wisdom Booklets for each family member who is enrolled as a student. To preview a sample of the curriculum, visit our Web site at www.ati.iblp.org/admissions. he Advanced Training Institute (ATI) is the home education branch of the Institute in Basic Life Principles (IBLP), developed by Dr. Bill Gothard after fifty years of working with youth on high school campuses, in church youth groups, and in neighborhood gangs. It was from this work that the Basic Life Principles Seminar, which now has more than 2.5 million alumni, was developed. The Basic Seminar presents seven non-optional, universal principles that apply to every person. Topics include Scriptural guidelines for breaking destructive habits; conquering bitterness, guilt, and anger; restoring relationships; experiencing true freedom and happiness; and understanding the deeper reasons why God lets things happen. ATI is an outgrowth of the Basic Seminar. It is a Biblically based home education program for families who desire to raise up sons and daughters who are mighty in Spirit and able to impact the world for Jesus Christ. www.ati.iblp.org We look forward to assisting you in raising up a generation to impact the world for eternity! These booklets were written by a team of expert communicators, educators, and Bible teachers. Each Wisdom Booklet presents information in linguistics, history, science, math, law, and medicine from a major concept in Christ’s Sermon on the Mount. Practical insights into Biblical principles are also learned. Rather than relating knowledge back to Scripture, your studies will begin with Scripture and then explore traditional academic subjects from this perspective. Sons and daughters of varying ages become a learning team as they study the same concepts together in the Wisdom Booklets and then broaden their learning to different levels through individual projects chosen from the Parent Guide Planners. Our History Our Purpose ATI is more than a curriculum. It is a program designed to assist a growing network of families who are committed to providing Biblical education for their children. ATI represents a lifestyle of obedience to Scripture, surrender to God, and sacrifice to self. The goal of the ATI program is not just to intellectually advance your children with the retention of knowledge, which is the goal of most educational programs. Rather, the goal of the ATI program is to give parents a tool to train their children to be mighty in Spirit. The Advanced Training Institute International (ATI) was founded in 1984, during the early years of the modern homeschooling movement. One hundred and two families participated in the pilot program. They met together and made commitments to turn life into a classroom and use Scripture as the main textbook for studying every academic subject. Today, thousands of families across the globe participate in the ATI program. Using the principles of Scripture as the foundation, ATI seeks to assist parents in training sons and daughters to be disciples of Jesus Christ, equipped to “make disciples of all nations.” (See Matthew 28:19–20.)
