Power point presentation of the proposed Program of Activities for Mexico and the specific impacts of the first project replacing 1 million incandescent light bulbs with compact fluorescent light bulbs (CO2 reduction estimations, alignment with current national efforts in energy efficiency, social and energy consumption benefits) 3. C.P. 11000 Phone/Fax: +52 55 2789 7751 www.coolnrg.com Results of the Final Stakeholder Consultation and Stakeholder Feedback round Those attending the event asked no further questions, and made no additional comments with regards to the environmental or social impacts of the project. All stakeholders who participated in the Initial and Main Stakeholder consultation process have indicated satisfaction with the feedback provided and had no further questions or queries with regards to the CUIDEMOS Mexico PoA. During the open feedback round of the project while posted on the UNFCCC website the following questions where asked to the project developer: Stakeholder: What is the sampling methodology used in the project to randomly select the monitoring households? Response: The methodology requires two sample groups: • • A group of households in which metering equipment will be installed in order to monitor lighting use. A non-metered group of households involved in periodic spot-checks to monitor ongoing functionality of the efficient light bulbs distributed during the project. Attached is a document summarising the sampling methodology to be used in order to select households in which metering equipment will be installed. This document has been submitted as an Annex to the PoA DDs for consideration by the DOE, and we are happy to share it with you. Selection of the second sample group of non-metered households will be undertaken through random selection of households participating in the project. A database of participating households will be established during the light bulb distribution process. Response: Thank you for your enquiry regarding our PoA "CUIDEMOS Mexico (Campana De Uso Intelegente De Energia Mexico)". In response to your question, we are currently still in validation. We have been in discussion with some of your colleagues within the Ministry of Environment in Mexico City. In particular Oscar Vazques and Beatriz del Valle have been our main point of contact. Siguiendo las normas Gold Standard y la metodología dictada por las Naciones Unidas se invitó a representantes de ONGs y agencias gubernamentales, y se contó con la asistencia de miembros de las cadenas Comex y Coppel. Se presentó el proyecto a los asistentes y se abrió una sesión de preguntas y respuestas sobre los impactos sociales y ambientales del mismo. El evento fué todo un éxito y nos fortalece para seguir adelante con las siguientes fases del programa. On august 28th, 2008 Cool nrg executed the second public consultation for the project “Cuidemos México” in the city of Puebla. Following the Gold Standard norm and the United Nations Methodology we invited different NGOs, government agencies, and the general public; we were able to discuss the main environmental and social impacts with representatives from Comex and Coppel.
