Next year, 2015, is the
Terquasquicentenary
For Lyndoch
Terquasquicentenary stands for the 175th Anniversary of an event.
It's been a massive 175 years since Lyndoch was settled as a
township. Colonel William Light first set foot in our beautiful area in 1837 and
named it Lynedoch Vale. It was in 1840 that people began to set up their homes
and form a township.
The Lyndoch Historical Society and Community Committee are seeking ideas as
to what events people would like to hold to celebrate this milestone. It does not
mean your obligated to organise it, although of course any help is always
gratefully received.
Event ideas can be emailed to- [email protected] or
PO Box 146, Lyndoch 5351

Are you looking for a cuppa and a chat??
If you enjoy getting to know others and a social chat, or just a chance to get out
of the house, please consider becoming a shop volunteer .
Currently there is a need for volunteers who could spare 4.5 hours to man a
shift.. Duties range from serving customers and sorting clothes, social interaction and a few laughs with other staff and customers. Please consider supporting the community in this simple way.

The Club had a very enjoyable lunch at Roseworthy Campus on Sept 29th after which we were taken on a tour of
the very modern Veterinary Health Centre. The goal of
the centre is to provide the highest quality compassionate
care for pets and animals , while educating future veterinarians for a wide range of animal care careers. The centre is open 24 hours a day, but suggest you ring for an appointment for smaller
animals (pets). Our next meeting Oct 27th and our Christmas Outing is now
NOT a surprise we will be lunching at The Blacksmiths Inn at One Tree Hill on
Monday December 1st. (menu available). Happy Christmas everyone, more
details from committee members. . For enquiries: Jean Randall Tell. 8524 635

The Barossa has a great tradition of encouraging creative,
innovative and enterprising artists, as well as small food and wine
producers. This tradition of supporting “Barossa Made” wares of
all descriptions underpins the Barossa’s successful wine, food,
event and tourism industries.
To follow on and continue this successful tradition, Council’s
Barossa Visitor Centre is holding a series of Barossa Made
Markets at the Tanunda Town Square precinct. Featuring only
“Barossa Made” goods, the markets are being held to coincide
with some of the major events coming up over summer/vintage
season. The markets will be a fantastic venue for local artists,
craftspeople and producers to show their Barossa Made wares to
both locals and visitors alike. Visitor Centre staff will be outside
promoting other activities for visitors including town walks and art
venues. The first market of the season will be held
Saturday November 1st 2014
Time: 10am-2pm
Venue: Barossa Visitor Centre/Bike Hub Lawns
