ALL SOULS DAY, NOVEMBER 2
This year we remember all of our beloved dead on Monday, November 2 we will
celebrate two Masses in honor of your loved ones, 9 a.m. English Mass and 7:30 p.m.
Spanish in the chapel. Special envelopes are available at the entrance of our churches
this weekend. Take one home and write the names of your deceased loved ones on the
envelope – place the envelope in any collection next week. These envelopes will be
placed on our altars for the month of November. We will also remember more than 50
of our parishioners who have been buried from our parish since last All Souls Day.
Their names will be read at the 9 a.m. mass (English) and 7:30 p.m. mass (Spanish)
on that Monday.
DÍA DE TODAS LAS ALMAS, 2 DE NOVIEMBRE
Este año recordamos a todos nuestros queridos difuntos el lunes, 2 de noviembre
celebraremos dos misas en memoria de sus seres queridos 9 a.m. Ingles y 7:30 p.m.
Español en la capilla. . Tendremos sobres especiales disponibles en la entrada de
nuestras iglesias este fin de semana. Lleve el sobre a sus casa para escribir los nombres
de sus seres queridos fallecidos- deposite el sobre en cualquier misa durante la colecta
de la próxima semana. Estos sobres se pondran en nuestros altares para el mes de Noviembre. También vamos a recordar más de 50 de nuestros feligreses; de nuestra parroquia, que han sido enterrados desde el pasado Día de los Difuntos. Sus nombres serán
leídos en la misa de las 9 a.m. (Inglés) y las 7:30 p.m. (español) ese lunes.
WATCH YOUR STEP!: This week we have renovated the front steps of the main church – replacing the
old broken concrete with beautiful granite. This necessary work adds to the beauty of the church as well
as the safety of all who visit. Our work happens because of your generosity.
TENGAN CUIDADO CON EL ESCALON!: En esta semana se ha restaurado los escalones del frente de la
Iglesia principal – reemplazando el hormigón viejo y roto por el bello granito. Esta labor necesaria
embellece a la Iglesia como también sirve para la seguridad de todos los que la visitan. Nuestro trabajo
es en razón de su generosidad.
Congratulations to all members for the high attendance, despite the rain of last week.
The sport of the week was volley ball! In this week’s session True Believers explored the
mercy of God in the parable of the Lost Sheep (Mt 18, 12-14). Being lost is leaving that
bond of love we have with God, others and life, for many reasons we are not happy
about. But God the Father promises to be by our side, to put all the means to bring us
back to life, to the persons we love, and to Himself. We will be mindful to be there for
others like God the Father is with us.

MASS BOOK 2016: The mass book for 2016 will open for new
intentions on Wednesday, November 4th after the 9 a.m. mass.
Masses
are
offered
for
those
living
or
deceased. The offering for each mass is $15. On Saturday at 5
p.m. and 7:30 p.m. we offer collective intentions – which means
we are able to take more than one intention for the mass. If
you have any questions, please speak to one of the priests.
LIBRO DE MISAS 2016: El libro de misas para el año 2016 se iniciará
el miércoles 4 de noviembre, después de la misa de las 9 hs, para las
nuevas intenciones. Las misas se ofrecen para las personas que
viven o han fallecido. La oferta para cada misa es de $ 15. El sábado
a las 5 pm y 7:30 pm ofrecemos intenciones colectivas - lo que significa que se incluyen más de una intención para la misa. Si usted
tiene alguna pregunta, por favor hable con uno de los sacerdotes.

This weekend 106 of our young people received the
sacrament of Confirmation from Bishop Cabezas. We are very
proud of them!
Special thanks to Sister Lucy,
the catechists and assistants for all their hard work.
The parents and new sponsors can be assured of our prayers
and support during this special time!
SACRAMENTO DE LA CONFIRMACIÓN: ¡En hora buena! Este fin
de semana 106 de nuestros jóvenes recibieron el sacramento de
la confirmación por el Obispo Cabezas. ¡Estamos muy orgullosos
de ellos! Un agradecimiento especial a la Hermana Lucía, los
catequistas y auxiliares por desempeñar una difícil labor. Los
padres y los nuevos padrinos pueden tener la seguridad de nuestras oraciones y apoyo durante este tiempo especial!
SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: Our young people HAVE
BEGUN their Faith Formation classes. They will also attend
mass as a class at 5 p.m. on Saturday; 8:30 a.m. Sunday; 10 a.m.
Sunday and 11:30 a.m. Sunday. As it is our masses are very full!
With an additional 650 children attending one of these masses
space will surely be an issue. We need to reserve rows so that
there’s enough space for the children to sit together. Please…
be patient and especially kind to the children and our catechists
over the next few weeks. We are very happy they are with us.
AVISO ESPECIAL: Nuestros jóvenes han COMENZADO sus clases de
Formación de Fe. Ellos asistirán a la misa como una clase a las 5pm
el sábado; 8:30am el Domingo; 10am el Domingo 11:30am el Domingo. Como se trata de nuestras misas que ya de por si están muy
llenos! Con un adicional de 650 niños que asistan a una de estas
misas seguramente habrá problemas de espacio. Tenemos que
reservar filas para que haya suficiente espacio para que los niños se
sienten juntos. Por favor, sean pacientes ... y especialmente amable
con los niños y nuestros catequistas en las próximas semanas.
Estamos muy contentos que están con nosotros.
HELP FOR THANKSGIVING:
The national holiday of
Thanksgiving will be celebrated on Thursday, November 26. As in
previous year we are asking parishioners who need
assistance to contact Father Rick at the rectory – 718.424.5400.
We are able to assist all families of the parish who need the help.
The deadline to ask for assistance is Monday, November 16th. If
you need the extra help, please call as soon as possible.
AYUDA PARA LA ACCIÓN DE GRACIAS: La fiesta nacional de
Acción de Gracias se celebra el Jueves, Noviembre 26. Como en
años anteriores que se preguntan los feligreses que necesitan
ayuda para ponerse en contacto con el Padre Rick en la rectoría 718.424.5400. Estamos en condiciones de ayudar a todas las
familias de la parroquia que necesitan la ayuda. La fecha límite
para solicitor la asistencia es el lunes, 16 de noviembre. Si usted
necesita el ayuda adicional, por favor llame lo mas pronte posible.
