LODGING GUIDE
HAVE YOU STARTED PLANNING YOUR TRIP TO ZION?
LET ME HELP YOU FIND THE PERFECT PLACE TO STAY!
Navigating through the list of places to stay in and near Zion is a tedious task! It’s my job to make your
trip to any national park the best it can be, which is why I am excited to share this list of lodging options
with you.
This list includes a short review of the places I’ve stayed in and would go back to. Then, after digging
through hundreds of online reviews, I have also included my top choices for lodging that I would book for
my own trip. I haven’t stayed in all of these hotels personally I wish! but I have narrowed down the
overwhelming options to a great collection of high quality and varied suggestions.
Lodging within Zion is scarce, so there's a chance you'll find yourself staying just outside the park near
either the South or East Entrances. It's a good idea to consult a map to determine which area would be
the most convenient for your stay. Click here for a map of Zion National Park.
SIDE NOTE: This list doesn’t include any chain hotels, but these hotels do exist near both the south and east entrances of the
park. The majority of these hotels range in price from $200$300 and offer similar amenities. I am not against chain hotels, but
I wanted to offer you some options that will add some variety, fun, and personality into your trip!
LOCATED IN THE PARK
Snatching up a hotel room within the park is extremely
competitive. Most rooms are already booked up at the very
beginning of the year for the upcoming summer so if you
have your heart set on inpark lodging, try to make a
reservation at least 6 months in advance!
ZION LODGE
Zion Lodge: This is the only lodge within the park and it is
open year round. It is perfectly situated in the spectacular
Zion Canyon, right across the street from the Emerald
Pools Trail and one shuttle stop away from Angels
Landing.
The rooms are simple but beautiful. Options include
cabins, hotel rooms, or suites.
$200$300

options within the
park.
LOCATED OUTSIDE OF THE PARK
Zion has 2 main entrances and a decent selection of places to stay just outside of the park. During the
busy season, it can be hard to find budgetfriendly options and all hotels fill up fast! This list includes
options in each price category that will provide you with a fantastic Zion experience!
SOUTH ENTRANCE
Entering Zion through the South Entrance is the most popular way to access Zion National Park. The town of Springdale
offers an energetic and eclectic vibe with numerous lodging and dining options.
Desert Pearl Inn: If a natural setting is what you are looking for as well as some of the nicest
accommodations possible near Zion, this is the place to be!
$230$350
Flanigan's Inn: This inn not only has great rooms in a perfect location, but also offers onsite dining
and a relaxing spa.
$170$310
Historic Pioneer Lodge: The Pioneer Lodge was the first hotel in Springdale and has a fun historical
atmosphere. Various room options are available, including two large family suites.
Click here to read my full review of this hotel.
$160$400
Zion Park Motel: Familyowned and budgetfriendly, this motel offers basic amenities and a decent
place to rest after a long day of hiking. Several room layouts are available, including family suites.
$75$175
Canyon Ranch Motel: This
quaint motel has basic rooms
and an awesome grassy area
with picnic tables, swinging
benches, and a lot of trees. It is
located less than a half mile from
the entrance to Zion.
$120$170
LOCATED OUTSIDE OF THE PARK
EAST ENTRANCE
The East Entrance is accessed by driving through the small town of Mt. Carmel and it offers a limited number of places to stay
near Zion National Park. Staying on this side of the park gets you away from the crowds but adds on to your drive time to see
the most popular sights.
Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort: You won't ever actually have to leave this resort if you don't want to!
With numerous activities, restaurants, and hiking trails, your whole family will find something to enjoy.
The lodging options here are incredibly varied. They range from campsites/RV sites to basic camping
cabins to large family vacation homes.
$85$1350
Zion Mountain Ranch: Surround yourself in that old western feel without compromising on luxury and
comfort. You can stay in your own private cabin and enjoy the peace and solitude of the area or enjoy a
large family home. This ranch even has it's own buffalo herd!
$200$900
Arrowhead Country Inn and Cabins: This charming inn is located further away from the east entrance
than the two options listed above, but the prices are more budgetfriendly and the experience may well
be worth the extra drive.
$100$325, includes breakfast.
