When the Park District builds a new park or renovates an
existing park there are opportunities to install a new park
bench in the area. When these opportunities arise, we
invite our patrons to commemorate a special event, or a
special person in their lives with the Park Bench Memorial
Program. Once installed, park benches are marked with
a bronze plaque and can be personalized with up to three
lines of type. The commemorative park bench will be a
long-lasting living rememberance to benefit the community
for many years to come.
For more information on the Park Bench Memorial
Program, please call (630) 993-8900.
The Living Tree Memorial
Program is available to
commemorate individuals,
organizations and special
events such as birthday and
anniversaries.
Memorial trees, once planted
and marked with a bronze
plaque, will be a long-lasting,
living remembrance that
benefits the community for
years to come.
A wide variety of trees are available through the program, with
prices varying according to species. Bronze plaques are placed
at the foot of each tree to remember a loved one or celebrate
a commemorative event. Plaque prices vary
depending on the size and length of message.
Trees may be placed at any of the Park District’s
