Welcome to worship at Pella Church! We are so glad you are
here to worship with us. Hearing assist devices are available by the
sanctuary doors. A nursery is located to your right as you exit the
sanctuary and a nursing mother's room is to the left. May you
experience the love of God in this place.
Our Church Family
Please remember those who are unable to worship with us: Bob & Janice Baker,
Viola Bouma, Harlan Doeschot, Elmer & Helen Hietbrink, Ethel Nieveen and
Glen VanEngen.

Buttone, Kyle Doeschot, Chad Johnson, Tom Remmenga, and Nic TenHulzen.
Dear church family and friends, I want to thank you so very much for everything
you have done for me and David during my illness. Between the shingles and the
infection, it was a long hard road for me. I would have never made it without you!
Thank you for all of your prayers, cards, phone calls, food, and help around the
house! All of it was so greatly appreciated. Thank you and God bless each and every
one of you.
Judy and David
THANK YOU!! We want to thank all of you for being such gracious hosts to the
Homestead Harmonizers and their wives. We heard many compliments from the
group about the friendly people, the great acoustics in the sanctuary and of course
the wonderful food! We always tell the guys that Pella has the best potlucks and
once again Pella proved us right! Pella once again is the potluck king for the
Homestead Harmonizers. Thank You!
Dave, Gary, Jeff, Jay & the Homestead Harmonizers
Announcements
In preparation for a referendum on the death penalty ban taking place in Nebraska
in November, American Lutheran Church in Adams will be hosting an open
forum on the death penalty on Sept. 12 at 7pm with a panel of varying views. The
goal of the forum is to inform and help people deliberate. If you come, participate,
and change your mind--great. If you come, participate, and are convinced you were
right from the start--great. The event is open to the public. All are welcome.
The First Christian Church of Beatrice is sponsoring a Blackwood Brothers
Concert at 7:00pm on Monday, September 12 in the church sanctuary. We are
thrilled and delighted that they are coming again this year. Please come and enjoy
an evening of music by “The best-known name in Gospel Music!”

Deuteronomy 4:29-31a (NIV)
“People will love only themselves, and be greedy for money. They will be
boastful and arrogant, insulting to God, rebellious against parents, and
ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. They’ll be unloving, and
unforgiving; they will enjoy slandering others, and have no self-control; they
will be cruel, and will despise anyone and anything that is good. They will
betray their friends, and impulsively do foolish things. They will be inflated

They will claim to be spiritual but will reject the power that could make them
godly. Stay away from people like this.”
