Except for those stated in the below guarantee, there are no warranties, either expressed or implied, as to the merchantability or
fitness for the particular purpose with respect to the sheep being
sold in this sale.
The warranties and guarantees set forth in the guarantee below
are in lieu of all other warranties, either expressed or implied,
and the remedies provided therein shall be the sole and exclusive
remedy of the buyer, or any other party claiming through the
buyer, for any breach of warranty or guarantee therein provided,
and all obligations or liabilities.

MINIMUM BIDS: Ther e will be a minimum bid of $300
for registered stud rams, yearling rams, and ewes with lambs;
$250 for registered yearling ewes and ram and ewe lambs,
$200 for non-registered ewes.

MAIL & PHONE BIDS: If you ar e unable to attend the
sale in person, a number of individuals will be able to handle
our bids. These include:

All mail and phone bids must be pre-approved by the Sale
Manager prior to the sale. It may be possible to arrange transportation if we are notified in advance of your plans.
TERMS: Cash, check or cr edit car d. The auctioneer ’s decision is final on any disputed bids. All animals are at the purchaser’s risk as soon as sold. Sheep purchased on order must
be paid for by the individual doing the bidding or handling the
order. All mail and phone bids must be paid in full within 5
days of the sale. Mail bids not paid in full within this time
frame will have an additional 10% handling fee added. A 25%
surcharge will be assessed to any insufficient funds check issued. Institutions may pay by requisition. Credit card payment
will be accepted with prior approval by sale management. A
3% surcharge will be added to the total purchase price for payments with credit card.

Every ram or ewe sold will be guaranteed as a breeder if
properly handled. It shall be the responsibility of the buyer
to return the non-breeder to the seller in acceptable breeding
condition. The seller, after a fair trial, and the animal is
found to be a non-breeder, shall have the privilege of replacing the ram or ewe with one of equal value to the satisfaction of the seller, or refunding the purchase price. This
guarantee shall not apply the first year to any sheep that are
shown subsequent to the date of the sale. All ewe lambs are
exempt from the breeding guarantee the first year.

This guarantee shall constitute a contract between the buyer
and the seller only, and no other parties assume any liability,
legal or otherwise, expressed or implied.

The WSDA cannot or will not assume any responsibility as
to the authenticity of the pedigrees, bloodlines, or information provided in the sale catalog, pen cards, or otherwise,
and the subsequent genetic performance of any sheep purchased. All such information must be accepted at face value. Any statements or information given sale day supersedes cataloged information. Any special guarantees or
claims offered by individual consignors is strictly between
the consignor and the buyer, and will not be enforced by the
sponsoring organization.
MOTELS: There are numerous motels in Chico. Go to
www.hotels.com or www.bookings.com for availability and
pricing.
REGISTRATION: All animals, except those sold as unr egistered or commercial, are registered. All Buyer Numbers
must be in the name of the person that the animal is to be
transferred to. Registration papers will be given to the buyer
upon payment for animals purchased.

HEALTH: Buyer s fr om states r equir ing special health
permits should contact their state veterinarian and have their
permit number with them. It is recommended that prospective
buyers contact their state animal health department for further
information or regulation changes prior to attending the sale.
All sheep sold must be in compliance with Federal scrapie
regulations. A veterinarian will be on the grounds to issue outof-state health papers.

Meet “Caesar” - Classic build, a sound and strong breeder, Caesar was born and raised in the
Pacific Northwest pastures where our average rainfall is 35”. He is a great example of the versatility and adaptability of the Dorper breed. I purchased Caesar from Frost King Dorpers as a 4
month old lamb. He has never been grained and easily maintains an average 275 pounds during
the breeding season. Caesar’s offspring are predominately twins and triplets. His 2015 triplet
daughter, Brandwein Dorper 1561 (Evie), and his 2015 triplet son, Brandwein Dorper 1560
(Mordecai), are in the sale. Caesar’s excellent bloodlines include Riverwood Farms, Ram H,

Charlton Farms NW is a small acreage about 25 miles southwest of Portland, Oregon where we
have lived for over 30 years and have been raising Dorpers since 2005. We really enjoy the breed
and sell most of our lambs directly to customers who appreciate the superb taste. We have found
that our customers are the best marketing tool and usually have our lambs spoken for as they are
born. We breed for conformation and rapid growth although are mindful of the other standards that
make the Dorper such an outstanding breed. We have an ongoing interest in developing our flock
and we are proud of our progress. My granddaughter Violet is also active raising Dorpers and
shows at the fair through 4-H yearly and is now working to develop the Youth program with the
WSDA. She is also active in FFA and 4-H as well as the swim team, getting good grades and learning to drive. Since our yearling ram took 3rd place in last year’s WSDA show/sale we have been
watching our lambs closely and have selected three that we believe will be competitive for this
year’s show and sale.

Phil and Sharon Freilich have been involved with Dorper sheep for nearly 4 years. During that
time we have purchased premium quality ewes from many of the established Dorper flocks from
the Hill Country of Texas and quality flocks in the Western States. We are striving to continually
improve the quality of our ewes in our breeding program.
Our flock is located in Briones, California on 65 acres of hilly coastal grasslands nestled in a
small valley between Lafayette and Martinez.
We currently have 18 Dorper ewes between the ages of 1 and 3. We have one ram, Holman 4219,
aka “Sparkplug” that we purchased in April, 2014, at the Mid-Amercia Dorper Show in Duncan,
OK. On the day, Sparkplug was the highest auctioned ram in an entry of over 300 Dorper/White
Dorper sheep auctioned.

Sierra Ridge Ranch got its start in 2011 in the foothills of the
Sacramento Valley. We are a small, family run ranch on primarily irrigated pasture. We fell in love with the Dorper breed
for their meat producing abilities, reproductive abilities, and
their relative ease of care. We primarily raise breeding stock
and are constantly educating ourselves so that we can continue to better our flock in a variety of ways. We are committed to producing healthy, high quality animals that can be
used for breeding stock or meat purposes.
We purchased our first RR ram from Riverwood Farms in
2013 (he was Reserve Grand Champion at the Nugget Show)
and started raising QR and RR lambs. In 2013 we also purchased a ram from Lazy J Ranch (who is QR) and between
the two they sire all of our stock. We will continue to grow
and better our breeding program so that we produce quality
Dorpers.

Glenn Land Dorpers began in 2000 with a few White Dorper x St. Croix ewes and has expanded to
a flock of 400 Purebred White Dorper ewes whose offspring have found numerous markets
throughout the country. The market lambs finish on irrigated pasture and are purchased for
farmer’s markets, upscale restaurants and ethnic consumers. The breeding ewes and rams are
sold at the ranch, at the Mid-America Sale in Oklahoma, at the Western States Dorper Sale in California and most recently a shipment of ewes were exported to the Philippines. Many of the sheep
sold at the ranch are purchased by buyers in the Midwest and even the East Coast. We strive to
produce sheep that work hard, so you don’t have to. In addition to the White Dorper flock, we
have recently started a small flock of Dorpers in order to satisfy the needs of more of the prospective buyers that contact us.
