Our “Four Educational wheels”: music, theatre, volunteering
and sports
Fondazione Centri Giovanili Don Mazzi aims to develop and offer
activities and projects for disadvantaged youth. It was founded in
2012.
Fondazione Centri Giovanili Don Mazzi evolves from Exodus Charity Foundation’s values. Exodus
Foundation was founded in the early 80s by Don Antonio Mazzi and carries out prevention programmes,
assistance and reintegration treatment for drug addicts and/or youth suffering from other forms of social
hardship. It also runs educational and training courses for school teachers of all grades, for parents and
educators, as well as specialised courses targeted to teenagers and young children.
Fondazione Centri Giovanili Don Mazzi works closely with many
Youth Centres across the country.

Our youth center (MOE'S) and headquarters in Cavriana
(Mantua)
As a result of a consistent promotion of a variety of youth
activities, our youth centre (‘Moe’s) has created a strong network
of partnerships with associations and administrations not only at
a local level, in the area of Mantua, Verona and Brescia but also at
a national level.
Examples of such activities carried out at our youth centre in
Cavriana:
 Sports events
 Cultural events
 Workshops for parents, teachers and youth
 Concerts and musical events featuring famous artists
The main goals of our youth centre are to raise awareness of
disadvantaged youth, prevent use of drugs among the youth and
combat the emerging problem of bullying.

Our Projects
TREMENDA VOGLIA DI LEGGERE: reading
I
competition engaging 400 students, every year,
between 11 and 13 years old. The aim is to repopularise reading as a fascinating tool for personal
growth
PACO&LOLA: workshops on road safety aimed at
children between 6 and 10 years old. In 2014,
approx.1500 pupils participated.
SFIDA L'ENERGIA!: competition involving young
students (11-13 years old) from different schools
working on important themes such as energy
savings strategies and sustainability
CIAK YOUR TIME: theatrical projects, whereby 16
to 18 years old students compete by creating short
films on a real cinema set, guided by professional
film-makers.

CONCORSO VIDEO TREMENDA VOGLIA DI
VIVERE: ‘Best Video Award’ granted to students
between 15 and 18 years old.
GIOCOSPORT: project involving children between
6 to 10 years old in various light-hearted sports
activities.
COMUNICAZIONE DIVERSA: student workshops
(11 to 13 years old) promoting healthy
communication amongst family and friends and
responsible use of new technologies.
In addition to all these projects, we provide
support to students who may experience, or
may be involved in at-risk situations.

AVON RUNNING: Fondazione Centri Giovanili
Don Mazzi provided support to Avon’s
company event on women’s rights and
domestic violence by organising theme-related
activities.
TREMENDA MORATO DAY: Fondazione Centri
Giovanili Don Mazzi
organised a music,
dancing and sports Day in 30 Italian cities, to
bring together youth and parents. This was
achieved together with our sponsoring
company Morato Pane.
