Round Spectra-Lyte
The Complete Performance Package
for Parking Garages
COMPLETE PERFORMANCE PACKAGE
The Round Spectra-Lyte is specifically designed for
parking garage applications where low ceilings, wide
fixture spacing and shallow viewing angles create unique
lighting demands. Neither cutoff nor refractor type
luminaires are completely suited to the challenges
of parking garage lighting. With peak candlepower
at high angles, sharp cutoff and a useful uplight
component, the Round Spectra-Lyte responds
to all of these demands.
HEAVY DUTY DIE-CAST HOUSING
Die-casting is the most precise,
consistent method of molding
aluminum. Finished in polyester
powder paint, the Round
Spectra-Lyte delivers the
ultimate in durability for
parking structures.
IMPACT RESISTANT LENS
The UV stabilized, high impact injection
molded acrylic lens is enclosed and
gasketed, keeping the optical system
clean and at peak performance for
years. A polycarbonate lens is available
(150W and below) for vandal prone
areas. A Dust-Tite (IP65) option is also
available to provide added
performance longevity in dirty
environments.
CONTROLLED UPLIGHT
The Spectra-Lyte reflector system
has an upper aperture that provides
an evenly distributed uplight
component. This eliminates eye
strain and “cave effect” by enhancing
uniformity between ceiling surfaces
and the room cavity.
DUAL REFLECTOR SYSTEM
The main segmented anodized reflector
controls light and shields the lamp to restrict
glare. A secondary top reflector captures
light from the top of the lamp and redirects
it back into the primary reflector, creating
the industry’s farthest throw and best
spacing.
UP TO 200W PULSE START
With improved color rendition, higher
lumens per watt and longer life, Pulse
Start technology is ideally suited for
parking structure lighting. The Round
Spectra-Lyte accommodates a variety
of Pulse Start lamps and wattages – and
it’s UL Listed for up to 200 watts!

Round Spectra-Lyte
PRECISE CONTROL
The Round Spectra-Lyte produces a Type V Round
pattern with peak output at high angles yielding
high horizontal and vertical footcandles. This stateof-the-art optical design creates superb uniformity,
wide spacing ratios and, ultimately, the most
efficient garage lighting distribution on the market
today.
SUPERIOR SHIELDING
Spectra-Lyte’s dropped lens reflector assembly encompasses the lamp with
its primary reflector. This allows the lamp output to be utilized most efficiently
while providing shielding at the shallow angles necessary to meet IES Cutoff
criteria. Therefore, even at very low mounting heights, low glare and high
levels of visual comfort are achieved.

AUXILIARY RESTRIKE SYSTEMS
Lighting is universally considered to be the most
important safety and security feature in a parking
facility–deterring crime and producing a safe and
secure atmosphere. Even in the best designed
systems however, regular start-up, momentary power
interruptions, line voltage dips, low ambient
temperatures and lamp outages can cause a
temporary reduction in illumination and conditions
in which safety and security could be compromised.
For added assurance, the Round Spectra-Lyte
eliminates these concerns with the addition of
Wide-Lite’s optional “LiteMatic” restrike system.
Unlike standard current sensing systems, WideLite incorporates solid state circuitry that goes
one step further. Rather than react strictly to
line current, Litematic operation monitors the
HID lamp’s current draw to determine when
the auxiliary lamp is needed. If the main arc
is interrupted for any reason, the auxiliary lamp
energizes until the main lamp restrikes and
reaches 40% light output. This means as long
as supply voltage is present, LiteMatic will
always assure usable light from either the main
or auxiliary lamp.
EASE OF INSTALLATION
Since the lamp is factory
installed, the need to open
the fixture during wiring and
installation is eliminated. In
addition, the Round SpectraLyte is shipped standard with
an Easy Hanger Plate. This
feature not only provides
unequalled mounting flexibility (shown
below), but also assists the installer by fully supporting
the luminaire during wiring.

SPECIFICATIONS
Housing
The housing shall be die-cast aluminum alloy construction with satin
aluminum UltraClad™ polyester powder coat finish. Easy Hanger
Plate and internal component mounting brackets shall be fabricated
from pre-galvanized steel.
Optical Assembly
The optical assembly shall have an internal reflector system with
upper and lower apertures for controlled downlight with uplight
component. Reflector shall also shield the arc tube to sharply restrict
discomfort and disabling glare. Downlight component shall have
Type V Round distribution with sharp definition and high peak angles
to give wide spacing and high uniformity while avoiding glare in visual
zones. Upper aperture shall provide a symmetrical, upward light
component that provides fill light on ceiling surfaces.
Primary reflector shall be fabricated from specular, high purity
anodized aluminum that is fixed within lens interior for rigidity and
proper photometric alignment. The secondary, upper reflector shall
be fabricated from specular, high purity anodized aluminium and
shall redirect high angle light back to the primary reflector and useful
beam.
Lens
The lens shall be enclosed with an injection-molded UV stabilized,
high impact acrylic lens. An injection-molded, UV stabilized,
polycarbonate lens is optional on all wattages, however, it is not
recommended with 200-175 watt metal halide. Lens shall have
smooth clear surfaces at all points where light is emitted in lower
components for accurate distribution. An internally ribbed area shall
diffuse the reflector image in upper section to reduce glare and for
an attractive appearance. All external surfaces shall be smooth to
deter dirt build-up and simplify cleaning.
