IMPORTANT: Characteristic scores provide
key information useful in selecting and
managing products in your area. Information
and ratings are based on comparisons with
other products sold by Hoegemeyer.
Information and scores are assigned by
Hoegemeyer and are based on periodof-years testing through 2014 harvest,
and were the latest available at time of
printing. Some scores may change after
2015 harvest. Scores represent an average
of performance data across areas of
adaptation, multiple growing conditions, and
a wide range of both climate and soil types,
and may not predict future results. Individual
product responses are variable and subject
to a variety of environmental, disease and
pest pressures. Please use this information
as only one component of your product
positioning decision.

In 2011-2013 trials, Optimum AQUAmax products from PROaccess Genetics were grown in 404 non-irrigated research plots, on-farm strip test and on-farm side-by-sides with a win ratio of 70 percent across IA, SD, NE, KS, CO, MO and OK. Cumulative claim includes all
2011-2013 research plots against competitive hybrids (+/- 5 CRM), on-farm strip plot (+/- 10 CRM) and on-farm side-by-side comparisons against one similar CRM commercial product. These same products demonstrated a 3.4 bushel advantage with a win ratio of 61
percent in 210 irrigated comparisons. Product performance in non-irrigated environments is variable and depends on many factors such as the severity and timing of moisture deficiency, heat stress, soil type, management practices and environmental stress as well as
disease and pest pressures. All hybrids may exhibit reduced yield under water and heat stress. Individual results may vary.

When planting Bt products, you are required to plant a non-Bt refuge. Guidelines on IRM Compliance are
illustrated on this page. For more specific details on refuge, contact the Hoegemeyer office at 1-800-AG LINE 1,

IMPORTANT: Characteristic scores provide key information useful in selecting and managing products in your area. Information and ratings are based on comparisons with other products sold
by Hoegemeyer.
Information and scores are assigned by Hoegemeyer and are based on period-of-years testing through 2014 harvest, and were the latest available at time of printing. Some scores may change
after 2015 harvest. Scores represent an average of performance data across areas of adaptation, multiple growing conditions, and a wide range of both climate and soil types, and may not
predict future results. Individual product responses are variable and subject to a variety of environmental, disease and pest pressures. Please use this information as only one component of
your product positioning decision.

• Significantly lower lignin from this BMR Sudan
• BMR2 has exceptional palatability
• Fine, sweet, very juicy stems, highly nutritious
• Wider leaves and longer than many other Sudan hybrids
• Very fast regrowth after cutting
• Good regrowth makes this variety ideal for grazing
• BMR2 will form grain however protein will decrease
• Recommend harvest before grain fill in most areas
SORGHUM X SUDANGRASS
Harvest Maturity
Shorter internode length for increased standability and still makes tonnage
of taller forages
• Benefits from lower stem lignin concentrations for high quality feed value
• Normally can be harvested 110 days after seeding. Protein content will
decline as harvest is delayed, but energy will increase upon heading
because of continued sugar formation in the plant

SEED TREATMENTS
AVOIDING NITRATE AND PRUSSIC ACID POISONING IN FORAGES
All grain sorghum is treated with
Concep® III and Seed Applied
Insecticide (SAI ).
•Avoid large nitrogen applications prior to expected drought periods, as this can increase prussic acid concentration
for several weeks after application.
•Do not harvest drought-damaged plants within one week following a good rain.
•Do not green chop within seven days of a killing frost.
• Cut at a higher stubble height; nitrates tend to accumulate in the lower stalk.
• Wait one month before feeding silage to give prussic acid enough time to escape.
Note: Chlorosis can be a problem when planting forage or sorghum x Sudangrass in soils with a pH greater than 7.5-8.0.

Hi-Gest 360
• The first low lignin dormant alfalfa on the market
• Traffic, compaction and grazing tolerance
• Whole plant lignin is 7-10% lower than other dormant
• Large, broad, deep-set crowns produce more stems
varieties
• Offers a wider harvest window of up to 7 days if harvest
timing is delayed past late bud or 1/10th flower
• Medium tall with dense canopy of fine stems and large
leaves with high leaf to stem ratio
• Fall dormancy 3 with a 1.5 winter survival rating
for high yield potential and quality throughout the life of
the stand
• Excellent persistence even under traffic and
frequent harvest
• Top choice for fields that will experience grazing pressure
• Outstanding winter survival

• Improved salt tolerance with sound agronomics
• Fall dormancy index of 5 with a 2 winter hardiness index
• For fields where salinity limits yield and persistence
• Outstanding yield potential across a wide range
• Excellent choice under poor moisture conditions such
as dryland and limited irrigation
• Medium tall, bushy plants with large leaves
• High multifoliate expression
of geographies
• Selected for high forage quality
• Medium tall, showy variety with a dense canopy
• Ideal for growers looking to maximize tonnage and quality
over the entire season
TIFFANY TEFF GRASS
• Profitable – A warm-season annual grass that likes heat
•
High Yield Potential – Five to eight tons of hay are possible, depending
on area management
• Forage Quality – Similar to timothy grass and ideal for the premium
hay market
• Low Inputs – 50 to 60 pounds of nitrogen per acre for the season
•
Adaptable – Can be cultivated on a wide range of soils and environments
on dryland or under irrigation
•Popular – Tiffany Teff Grass is the most widely grown teff variety in the U.S.

AM-R - Optimum® AcreMax® Insect Protection system with YGCB, HX1, RR2. Contains a single-bag integrated refuge solution for above-ground insects.
Do not spray with Liberty®. Not all seeds in the bag are tolerant to Liberty herbicide. In EPA-designated cotton growing counties, a 20% separate corn borer
refuge must be planted with Optimum AcreMax products.
AM - Optimum® AcreMax® Insect Protection system with YGCB, HX1, LL, RR2. Contains a single-bag integrated refuge solution for above-ground insects.
In EPA-designated cotton growing counties, a 20% separate corn borer refuge must be planted with Optimum AcreMax products.
AMX - Optimum® AcreMax® Xtra Insect Protection system with YGCB, HXX, LL, RR2. Contains a single-bag integrated refuge solution for above- and
below-ground insects. In EPA-designated cotton growing counties, a 20% separate corn borer refuge must be planted with Optimum AcreMax Xtra products.
RW,HX1,LL,RR2 (Optimum® TRIsect®) - Contains the Herculex I gene for above-ground pests and the Agrisure® RW trait for resistance to corn rootworm.
AMXT (Optimum® AcreMax® XTreme) - Contains a single-bag integrated refuge solution for above- and below-ground insects. The major component
contains the Agrisure® RW trait, the YieldGard® Corn Borer gene, and the Herculex® XTRA genes. In EPA-designated cotton growing counties, a 20%
separate corn borer refuge must be planted with Optimum AcreMax XTreme products.
Seed products with the LibertyLink® (LL) trait are resistant to the herbicide glufosinate ammonium, an alternative to glyphosate in corn, and combine
high-yielding genetics with the powerful, non-selective, postemergent weed control of Liberty® herbicide for optimum yield and excellent weed control.
