iiNet Business taking
the lead in public WiFi
In today’s digital age, free public
WiFi is becoming increasingly
common, with cities and businesses
around the world recognising
the benefits of offering simple
and free wireless access.
WiFi not only plays an important role in creating
smart and connected communities, but also
provides an opportunity for businesses to add
value to the customer experience.
We know how important it is to stay connected,
whether at home, out at a café or while waiting
for an appointment which is why iiNet Business
has just launched an offer to give businesses
with a physical shopfront the opportunity to
provide free WiFi for their customers.
According to iiNet Business General Manager
Daryl Knight, offering complimentary and secure
WiFi access can generate significant benefits.
This access will allow people to connect and
activate a sense of community.
Bringing this access to Australian businesses will
generate many benefits for businesses as a way
to add value to their services, attract and retain
more customers, and hence generate more sales.
“We’re pleased to make this happen for our
business customers and it’s an extension of
what we’re doing with Government WiFi.
We’ve recently been selected by the Victorian
Government to build Australia’s largest free
public wireless network for Melbourne,
Ballarat and Bendigo,” said Daryl Knight.
iiNet is a leading provider of public access
WiFi networks, which includes major wireless
deployments in Canberra and Adelaide.
For more information about iiNet Business
and WiFi, visit www.iinet.net.au/business.
“Consumers today expect a fast, reliable and
free internet connection. Businesses such as
cafés and retail outlets who offer this service
will see a benefit as customers are more likely
to spend more time there as they browse
online,” said Daryl.
With cities across the world building public
wireless networks, there is a growing expectation
that free and seamless access will be available
for visitors and residents alike.

The Hospital Research Foundation
A dinner with friends to fight cancer
During the time you have friends
over for dinner 40 Australians will
be diagnosed with cancer. You can
help change this by signing up to host
a Longest Table to raise money for
cancer research through The Hospital
Research Foundation (THRF).
AmCham Partners
The Longest Table is a fun and simple
event where you host a dinner with your friends. Your dinner
can be as laid back or as elaborate as you like, whether it’s
a barbeque or burger night or even an 8 course meal.
The Longest Table Ambassador and My Kitchen Rules champion,
Bree May has grand plans for her 2015 Longest Table. After sadly
losing her cousin to cancer last year, Bree is inspired to raise as
much as possible to support cancer research.
“Cancer is something that has touched my family a lot,” she said.
“There is not a single Australian alive that isn’t directly or
indirectly affected by cancer, but I honestly believe, that
together we can create a future without this terrible disease in it.
By getting involved in The Longest Table, I feel like I am making
a difference.”
The official date is Saturday, 20th of June, but you can hold
your dinner to fight cancer at any time that suits you.
Register via the website and start planning your Longest Table.
A cure could be at the end of your table.
