How to log on to Internet Banking
and make payments with the eID card?
Now payments can be made via Swedbank Internet Banking also using the electronic
identification card – the eID card. Just like up until now you used the code card or security token
for verifying your identity, now you can use the eID card with eSignature.
To start using the eID, you need to:

Buy a card
reader.
1. Open Swedbank Internet Banking web address ib.swedbank.lv and select eID as the identifier.
Enter your user number and click “Log in”!
Choose to log in
with the eID card.

2. In the PIN entry field, enter the requested eSignature PIN which you received in a sealed envelope together with the eID card at
one of the territorial departments of PMLP (the Office for Citizenship and Migration Affairs). Click “OK”! If the login fails, check
whether you’ve entered the correct PIN.

3. Open the “Payments” section, choose the payment type and carefully fill out the required form. Check the accuracy of all the
details entered and click the “Confirm payment” button.

4. In the blank field, re-enter the payment amount and click “Confirm payment”.

5. After confirmation, re-enter the required PIN – PIN 2 – in the blank field and click “Continue” and then again “Confirm”.

6. The payment is done. As simple as that! To ensure the safety of your data, don’t forget to click the “Exit” button after
completing the operations.
