The Private Banking comprises all financial services offered on a
one-stop-shop basis. We provide the Private Banking services taking
account of special expectations and needs of the client – whether he
needs to get prompt insurance, settle crediting and leasing matters,
or maybe the time has come to restructure his investment portfolio?

History

• Hansabank history started in 1991, when the bank Hansabank started operating as Tartu
Kommertspank bank branch.
• In 1996, Hansabank Group started its operations in Lithuania by establishing Hansa
Leasing company. The first branch of Hansabankas opened its doors in 1999.
• In 2001, Hansabank acquired 90.73% of shares of Lietuvos Taupomasis Bankas (LTB).
The name of the newly established bank was Hansa-LTB.
• In 2003, the bank was renamed to Hansabankas.
• In 2005, Hansabank Group minor shareholders disposed their shares to the bank’s strategic
investor Swedbank and the bank became part of the largest financial group in Nordic and
Baltic Region.
• In 2009, AB bankas Hansabankas in Lithuania started operating under a new
name – Swedbank, AB.
• Today Swedbank Group has 9.5 million private and 534 000 corporate customers,
377 branches in Sweden and 224 branches in the Baltic countries.
The Group also operates in Copenhagen, Helsinki, Kaliningrad, Luxembourg,
Merbella, Moscow, New York, Oslo, Shanghai, St. Petersburg, Ukraine and Tokio.
Private Banking
• In 2002, Swedbank started offering Private Banking services in Vilnius. Now
these services are also provided in Kaunas and Klaipėda, and the number of
specialists who take care of the private finances of the customers has grown
from 3 to 30 people.
• In 2004, the Bank started providing Advisory service on securities investment
which in 2009 developed into the Private Wealth Management Service.

exceed EUR 4 000.
We offer the Private Wealth Management Service to customers who hold
financial assets of the value exceeding EUR 200 000 available for investments.
We also provide services to customers who are not permanent residents of the
Republic of Lithuania.
